I haven't. Not a SS rider myself although I would like one as a 2nd or 3rd bike. I think for many condition around me they would be awsome trainning bikes. I had to mention pugsly though. I really just love the look of them. Have a ridding buddy who got one the start of this last winter.

What hub and cassett do you have on you surley?

Thanks.

That's Tin Cup lake/Pass. Another P-Pic on the summit.

Good luck

Great pics. It's actual name is Mirror Lake. My family and I have literally pulled hundreds of rainbows and brooks from here, and yes, put most of them back. Great fishing here and at the nearby 'pot holes'.

^^ That's a great looking 80. Maybe you can help me get mine in the same shape! I need to find that place. Great pic!

Anytime man! Those places are near Moab, Ut.

Do the hood vents actually help with the cooling duty?
I like them.

I never measured underhood temps. but they do work.

'96 Tacoma 2.7 5 speed and all the goodies.

This makes me miss my Taco. I had the same motor and year but with an extended cab. Very nice.

A really excellent thread. I love seeing how other people build out their Toyotas for long term travel.

Since this is my first post here, let me mark it by showing off my own in-progress build:

She's named "Shinju" which loosely translates as "pearl" and I'm in the middle of building drawers and shelves for the cargo area. I pick up the RTT and awning next month. After that... the list is long and expensive.

Thanks again for a great thread!

Thanks again for a great thread!

No worries, IMHO a threads only as worthy of it's contributors and their pics, so it is I who should be thanking all of you! :D
You guys over on the 120Board have me drooling and thinking of an '11 myself, I'd like to do a SR5 in either your Shoreline (Pearl) Blue or the Silver with the 2.5" kit and 285's. :D

Post pics everyone, Winter's past, hit the trails or hit the tools, or do some maintenance and post up!
