Let's see your man cave / shop lounge

I'm gonna have to bust out a wall and add a lounge to compete with some of the photos above. Here's a couple shots of my garage. My best mods were the I-beam across for lifting and the cabinets for storage without grinding dust. I've got heat and TV. These are from before painting the floor and moving my tools in.

Awl_TEQ,
Saw your earlier posts of your cabinets and new garage floor concrete. Your workmanship and skill in building those cabinets must be exceptional because they look great. Thanks for posting your work.

Awl_TEQ, that's a bad ass set up.
I gotta get one of those Reznor ceiling heaters installed this year.
Also got two nice I beams off a job that I have to somehow get one installed.
Sweet cabinets too.

All nice shops there guys.
Even the brick faced one rivalling Jay Leno's.;)

Hey Awl-TEQ, I told my wife today, theres this guy on Mud with an I beam in his Garage-Mahal, that goes right across the whole garage, she looked at me and said, what for? :princess:, :hhmm:, :bang:.

Thats what mine said until she saw this...

Now she doesn't have to come out and help me lift stuff. It's a great selling point :D.

The only rule my wife gave for this one is that she has to be able to park her car in there in the winter. Got to love her :)

22' wide, 44' deep (1000 sq feet) & almost 12' under the radiant tube heater. 100amp service with lots plugs for tools all over and 240V on the back wall for my mig.

I've added a few things since the pictures above. Two above head suspended 4'x8' storage shelves (needed somewhere to put the small cruiser stuff and the 2 hardtops and the hood) I've also added an all steel 3'x6' welding/work table (my entire front cowl is on it right now for repairs), engine stand (the diesel going into the 40 is on it now) and an engine hoist.

Spend as much time in there as I can when I'm not on husband or father duty... all of this and I live in the middle of the city.

nice!!!!

love that built in subwoofer in the dresser mrhustle23. that's pretty creative.

Happened to look at the magazine section the other day while waiting for a scrip at the local CVS and found an awesome magazine.

It's a special from Wood magazine called Great Garage Makeovers.

It has a lot of tips from epoxy floors to storage, lights , ect.
Makes for great reading on the bowl.
Definately worth a look if you like dreaming about a cool ass garage like me:hillbilly:.

Man, those are some pretty sweet shops/garages.

I don't know if mine lives up to some of those, but here is what I did. Laid down epoxy when we moved in a couple years ago. Wanted a place to work on the Cruiser and not worry about spills, leaks, etc. as I worked on it. Its held up pretty well so far. Went with a commercial/industrial grade epoxy rather than the cheap Home Depot version after hearing the horror stories of it coming up, etc. I've been happy with it. When I want to clean it, just break out the hose, some Simple Green, scrub it, and hose it out. Good as new.

I made them all by my lonesome. A perk of having a sheet metal shop to play in. :grinpimp:

Thanks!

I've been working a lot more lately on my man cave. I'm finally getting to the bar. Here are some pics:

I also homebrew. The chest freezer is hooked up to a thermostat to keep the temp in refrigerator range. I'll have a 4 tap faucet box mounted to the top of the bar. Complete with CO2 and beer gas tanks. Some more pics
