How do you like the HELL CREEK?

How long do you think it'll be before you get yours put together bbq? Have you gotten close to deciding on a lift?
No. HAHAHA. I have no idea. Part of me says I would like the OME because of reputation and ride quality. Then another side is I love the looks of a 4" but think it may be too tall. I think the 4" will look better topless than the 2.5". I am trying to be realistic because I don't see myself going off road as much as most on here. Maybe 2 times a year with the club if that. I will go off road at my hunting club. I hate to build a 4" truck and tear it up. I love these trucks and see them as a time piece and want to keep it that way. i work to hard for my money to tear up my Cruiser. I just need to see a 2.5" in person because it looks a little small on the computer screen. The 2 Cruisers I have seen with a 4" looked BIG.

I know what you mean....I've decided to keep my 40 stock'ish and buy another 40 to play around with....Thats the only way I can have my cake and eat it too....although it'll cost twice as much....or more...probably....

It sounds like OME is the way to go from what I've read though....
I like my OME shocks and steering stabilizer...

Another plus to the OME is I won't have caster issues and such. Won't have to have drive shafts extended and may fit into my garage but I would just hate it if I installed the OME and wished I had done the 4".

if you are even considering a 4" lift, get a 4" lift. on the f150 forum im on, anybody who wants a 6" lift and gets a 2 1/2 or 4" kit eventually end up spending the money to get 6"s or more. could always do the 2 1/2 and a 1 or 2" body lift

The Christmas truck! :D

Here is my lift. It's from H.K.S. (I think...), the manufacturer that produced the original springs for Toyota's FJ40's. I snagged this 4" set from Mark A. in Burbank. I still need to pick up another pair of shackles and some other assorted hardware, and a set of Super Swamper TSL's @ 33"x10.50 to have a go. I hope my rig looks half as nice as the '40's in this thread. Inspirational stuff!!!

Am running custom 4" lift leaf springs from Dobinsons Spring & Suspension

Specs are
1260mm (49.6") long front leafs 4" lift (bout 4.5" longer then std.)
1340mm (52.8") long rear leafs 4" lift (bout 7.8" longer then std.)
2" extended shackles
12" travel bilstein 5125s all round
High Clearance U-Bolt Plates
Rear diff back 5" from standard, front forward 1"

Tyres are 33x12.5R15 MTZs for Daily, 35x13.5R15 BFG Krawlers for Offroad.

Ride is as smooth as a coiled truck...but it has some pretty severe bodyroll. Am starting to get used to it now, but have started to get the bits together to make some anti-rock style sway bars for it (out if IFS Toy torsion bars) to try and get it a little more road friendly.

Still need to tidy up the rear panels, will be getting some tube flares made.

How do you like those Bilsteins? I am trying to decide between Bilstein and OME shocks.
