My brother-in-law just got his and we put them in last night. They are brighter than the super duper snazzy $$$ ones I bought a couple years back for my 80.

There was one bad white map light LED, but there were 2 reds and 3 whites for 2 holes so plenty of spares!!!

Everyone on wait lists have been notified. I have another batch coming in this week and I am in the process of QAing the 80 series kit.

I think I am going to keep around 20 100 series kits on hand for the new members and stragglers. I also have a couple extra packed and ready to ship if anybody needs one.

Thanks for making this go smoothly thus far!...PM me if you didn't get on the lists and I'll see if I can ship you a kit in the morning.

Got my kit last week. Haven't had the time to do the installation yet. I'm a bit uneasy about the reports of people blowing fuses though. :frown:

I too am puzzled by the blowing fuses... Suggest some type of a short-circuit to me, but not sure what to make of it.

For the record, I installed all mine and did not have any problems with fuses. This is with an '06 LX.

Overblown IMO. Do it with the switch off and you'll do fine. If the fuse was already weak then what a better place for it to fail than the garage? If there were recurring blown fuses after replacement then I'd worry.

^x2 on what Oregon said. I blew a fuse installing mine. But I think it was because I had the light on an using pliers to get those darn festoons in (I had to bend the tabs back some to get them to fit). Everything else went pretty smooth. On the T10 lights, I had to adjust the wires to ensure good connection. It's a little blueish in color but I think my grey interior helps it look more blue.

Much brighter than stock lights! Thanks again!

If using pliers or any metal contact to pry anything out, wrap the tip in electric tape! This prevents any current from traveling from the positive to the negative;)

I got my lights in on Friday and did the install yesterday. First of all the lights are awesome and they light up the truck as if it were daylight. Now my notes. I ordered two sets of lights for my 100 and the wifes. I started with mine and found that the hardest part was reinstalling the covers over the lights on the door and also getting the 48 light to cooperate. I ended up blowing the fuse as apparently when you use a metal object such as screwdriver to assist getting the contacts in place and metal touching metal that will happen. I knew the risk but was in the back of the truck and was too lazy to pull the fuse first.

On my wife's 100 though I attacked it a little differently. Before I started I removed the 10amp fuse which is in the passenger side fuse panel. I then removed all the light covers and installed each bulb. Then I reinstalled the fuse and checked each light to make sure it worked. I had to take the fuse out another time as the overhead lights seemed to be the toughest to get right and I didn't want to blow another fuse. For those doing the install I would definitely recommend doing it this way as the overhead lights in the center and rear are the ones that take awhile to get right.

I'm still going to play with the passenger LED some as I wish the red LED were a little brighter and the 10 LED is way too bright to use while driving. Overall though this is the best interior mod I have done. Now I just need an LED to mount on the rear hatch so that when I install my drawers it will light up the contents when the drawers are open.

got mine installed today. only thing i'd add to 1st post is that you need to make sure your + and - connections are correct to get them to light up. i pulled my fuse before messing with things. gave some slight tweaks to the tabs on the ceiling lights so they fit a little better. other than that it was a breeze. bummer the glovebox LED doesn't fit. guess i'll have to get the one Loud linked to.

great info.

FYI, I am out of kits until the next shipment arrives. Please DO NOT send me money until I give the OK again. 80s kit is coming in this round too!

What a great package you have put together.

I tried and failed with the components I had purchased....

Please contact me via email when you have a kit ready for shipment.

Best,

Shane

Got mine...thanks pfran! Looking forward to getting them installed...unfortunately, I probably won't get them done before I head out to go tackle a section of the OBCDR. Oh well.

Hi,
I'm interested in a set of led lights for a 100 series. Please add me to the next order if there is one.

Thanks,
Pete

Giggling like a Schoolgirl

Thanks Pfran,

I spent about 20 minutes putting in my LEDs, had to switch polarity (reverse plug in direction) on two or three after first install, used some 2 sided tape to tack up the domes. Waited unitl nightfall and went out to look at how bright they really made the interior. HFingS its like an operating theater in there. I actually giggled about how bright the inside of the 100 is with the domes on. I am not sure how well my night vision will survive when they come on, but it does look cool. Thanks for the work on this and I hope you fit some profit in the price for yourself.

How much are the kits? $60? Do they include the exterior license plate lights?

Add me to the next order.

I suggest you read the thread as it answers your questions. Try post #1 for starters, then let me know if you want in.

In other news, new shipment arrived today and I am now taking orders again.
