Dang son, that's pretty bright. Might have to jump on this deal.
Don't think I saw it earlier, but how do you deal with replacement bulbs if one goes out? Do we wait for a shipment from China or how does that work?
These do not include a regulated power supply. You can purchase one here: 12 Volt LED Power Supply Specifications
To be honest, I consider these to be disposable items. If they fail after a couple of years, I will wipe my tears and go buy another one.
That being said, I have never had one fail on me (store bought). Nick and I tore the back off a high-end Putco and there is nothing special to be seen. I'm sure he'll post pics from our lunchtime pow wow.
Before I place my final batch order I have to nail down pricing. Would everyone be OK with $40-45 for the 12 piece kit shipped to your door? That works out to about $3.75 per bulb (delivered). I have no idea what these will cost to ship so I am just providing a broad estimate. Let me know...
EDIT: Got confused on pricing. It is corrected now.
Don't think LED's are common for going out since there is no filament and technically no wear parts. Nothing gets too hot. I guess I could keep a few spares around the house incase one does go out. Shoot me a text dude, I'll let you know when/if we order some

should it be same for us LX guys too.....? I am interested for sure
Ohhh but they do go out. I've had em installed in a caddy and my 100 since 06. Caddy's wiring probably isn't as great as the 100's but I've had about 3 courtesy door lights (multiple led bulbs), 2 center 2nd row ones went, and an LED I used for the hazard button all go out. Superbright in all the ones the went out, and a V-Leds bulb for the hazard button.
Anyhow, you guys have a got some good feedback goin here and I say go for it.
How long was the avg. ownership time before they went out?
Roughly 2 years. The hazard switch bulb (dinky lil thing), started flickering about 3 months in.
The only long-lasting LED bulb I have and still works are my PIAA 4300k from Honk Kong, which I ordered from Cargym. And I've had those since 06.
The second set of best bulbs I've had are 194s (V-leds) for the license plate, which have the heat-sinks in em (they get HOT).
As a side note, please don't get the impression that I'm knockin on your bulbs, I'm just sharing my history with the popular stateside suppliers. My experience with overseas LEDs thus far have been great. Except of course the shipping time, which I recall was about 45 days, but 5 years later they're still going strong.
Between this forum, clublexus, bimmerforums, and others, Nick's pics tell the story and I'm impressed. I think I can speak for others here and say that I appreciate what you guys are doing, or about to do and hope you follow through with it.
