Yeah I'd jump on it for $40-45.

My original estimate was in the $60 range but I did not want to scare anyone off. I will see how much time and effort goes into actually "moving" these. Regardless, it is a phenomenal bargain.

It will be even better if I can get an English-speaking rep on the phone and work out bulk shipping. As it stands right now, every piece comes individually wrapped.

I agree with Trunk Monkey - include a little extra $ for the work you've put in... That'll help with the front bumper fund! BTW - How's that coming along?

I would still be in for this kit at this price. Question though, are you including 1 red and 1 reg for the driver side map? Or just the red? I personally dont know if I would care for the red.

Either way, I would still take a set.

Very cool. Make sure to factor in time, postage, shipping materials, and a little extra  money for yourself!

I sourced parts from 4 different places. We do a mock-up on Saturday. If all goes well, it goes off to paint next week and I'll have it installed on the 26th.

It'll look like this:

Pay very close attention to post #30. The red single LED will be a "bonus" light.

Overhead LED's.

And the back of a Putco. Looks the same as ours :meh:

I don't have anything really until it gets dark. Be happy to answer any questions

I am in for a set, let me know.

I just hope everyone doesn't try to get uber rocket scientist about this. If you want to pay 15-35 bucks a bulb to ensure you have the latest inductive micro-ohm resistance fluctuation parameters within .00000127v of their rated loads, then go right ahead. You'll pay way over $200. I put these in my truck and they radically improved cabin lighting. Plus they look dope, Yo!

Sorry to ask questions about the product, my bad... Looks dope yo, have fun!

Price looks great however for what you are selling.

Personally I have found a $7 regulated module that I'm very happy with. The manufactures of the actual LED elements specify voltage requirements that typically are not fully met in an automotive environment so life is typically not as stated unless you stay within those limits. The popular George modules that most here recommend are regulated and are also assembled in USA.

The George module can be found here:

I skimmed it and they are $30 each plus $4 shipping. They also require cutting of the lamp housing area. Finally, they have 1 LED. Outfitting the entire vehicle would cost ($34 * 12) $408.

These are probably way better in terms of engineering numbers and quantifiable nerd metrics but I am not dropping $408 on single LED cabin lamps. I can get 20 times more LED bulbs and buy my whole kit 8 times over before encroaching on $408.

If you guys would like, I will just retract this whole idea. I really don't NEED to do this.

if you do, give me the specifics and I'll take over :grinpimp:

I could use a front bumper fund.

The module George produces and these are different camps. Don't let the nay sayers get to you and a pissing match over products. I made several runs of springs spacers for 80's and always had one "everyone will die" person post up. Same thing with the DDM HID, someone always cries about how the housing isn't made for that bulb and you'll blind oncoming traffic and kill kittens.

It's a great idea and a cool package deal.

As long as it comes with red super deluxe cat killer bulb, I'm in.
( seriously, I would like a set).

I got them installed a few minutes ago. My stock vs LED pictures did not quite come out as planned (looked good on camera). Fortunately Skidoo took some that came out fabulous. Install went easily dispite it being about 95* in my garage, and everything somehow got real close to it so I was tripping over bicycles and sticking my feet through boxes as I hopped out.

Thank you skidoo for the pictures. You saved me.

This is not a lie. Same settings for every picture. These LED's are really that bright.

A few pictures from outside and different angles. I was trying to get a before and after of each bulb, but most of the pictures came out blurry or the camera set the brightness the same. Just starting with night shots. Maybe I will get creative and break out the tripod and swap the bulbs if I get REALLY bored tonight.

The light output is amazing, when was the last time you say someones interior lights plastered on the side of their house?

We are working now on "Project 96", updates to come on how our engineering department is advancing. The engineering team may go outside and lay in uncomfortable positions and see if it works.
