Isn't 8000K way too blue Matt? Those don't look like 8000 in your photo, more like 5000. Just an opinion.

who would you consider " independent " ?
have you looked at my link yet and grazed over the specs ?
find another set with MADE IN JAPAN JIS glass lenses ........
but , i am open to any independent test by anyone qualified of course , or simply a honest testimonial

800K in south korea is considered cool wite ?

Maybe they are using a different scale. Anything over 5000 starts getting blue pretty quick.
fj60 equipped with my kit :
low and high beams
low and high beams
Maybe send a set to this guy? light quality and beam projection are an important measure of quality on a headlight upgrade.
I don't consider glass lenses a positive on a vehicle that spends a lot of time driving on gravel roads but I understand what you are saying about the plastic hazing over time. I'm not trying to bust your chops and would agree your lights look like quality units but I personally would stop short on the " Simply NOTHING better " until I could back it up.

how many kits out there use toyota genuine parts in one way shape or form

i did not find anything with a japan based platform in any way ?

i can attest there the best because i designed the end product,
i have a 4 year degree from toyota T-TEN college in penn state
this i CAN back up , im a toyota automotive engineer
im a circa 1998 Toyota Master Technician as well
i not bragging or boasting any way to be clear , just stating the facts behind there conception , both i have formal training on how to start the process i ended up with , i can back up ........
perhaps you were or are unaware ?
i dont share much but , i feel strongly i have a good thing going that out preforms ...........
after all im sold out , due to overall product demand i guess you can say ?

I remember headlights during the Brass era!! Oops got sidetracked!! How about a free pair to test

I have the Truck Lites in my 55 and don't like them. They cast a strange shape (Pattern) out there. They are bright enough, but don't that V shape they throw. I'm thinking of going with the J.W. Speaker lights. Now if they came in a Toyota box that would be a shoe in. 
With LED's that's the easy part, bright light isn't the issue with 99% of the Chinese or other brand light out there now, they are bright but they scatter the light in a strange direction.
JW Speaker has continually set the standard for the bench mark for witch all other are measured, you are either almost as good or not as good in every test I've read with headlight shootout.
Bottom line without dedicated quality lenses that direct the light in the direction you want it you end up with bright lights with strange patterns. Adding a bright LED behind a defused glass lens will just yield a brighter version of a stock bulb.
