Looking to replace current halogen bulbs with LED and was advised by a mechanic friend to look for recommendations so I don’t end up with crap, he tells me he has seen many LED aftermarket that were junk. Anyone have a recommendation for replacement bulbs that have run well for you? Also LED tail and backing bulbs when I need to do those ?

FWIW I installed LED interior lights in my 1994 KZJ78 Prado from Odd Iron (they advertise on Mud) and they are working great. A little more pricey than other kits but they are super bright and are holding up well. I'd definitely give them a look.
For headlights I’ve been running these for a few months now and don’t have anything bad to say about them. They did require a H4 adapter harness.

Thanks for the recommendation @chap79 went with that exact model. I did end up having to supplement with a relay harness: H4 Relay Harness, as the passing beam wouldn't register even after using the included adapter. Amazing the difference. In the process of adding the Odd Iron kit as well - nice and bright but having to add some amber film to since most of my assemblies are clear.
Odd Iron offers complete interior and exterior kits for most Land Cruisers. Each bulb is bench-tested and wrapped prior to shipping.
