When I bought my 2007 100, the salesguy talked me into installing a roof mounted DVD player. I was not into the idea, as I hate things obstructing my rear view mirror, but he shamed me into doing it for my 3 kids to watch movies during road trips. He also said that it would be easy to remove and I could go back to the OEM dome light.

Flash forward to 2017 and as I begin the process of turning the bone stock 100 into my hunting truck, I went to remove the DVD player and found that the installers cut the plug for the dome light and also butchered the headliner. The guy I used to install an Ipod cable was able to make a plate with the original headliner material, but now I have no light over the middle seats.

Has anyone found an LED bulb that will fit into the rear cargo area dome light and will be bright enough to illuminate the middle seat area?

Thanks for your help.

Todd

The PFran LED kit is more than sufficient, I would think

PFRAN is good quality kit, it is very bright. If you install front and rear it is plenty of light for the whole interior of vehicle. Or you can piece like a 48SMD LED panel for just the rear from amazon or a light supplier.

Thanks guys for the quick response! Ordered the PFRAN kit and the back up bulbs as well. Sounds like the 2nd and 3rd seat rows use the same LED panel, so since I don't have a receptacle over the 2nd row seats, I might have another spare.

There is the dome just behind the front seats, and the rear dome, as far as I know. PFRAN usually sends you some extra bulbs as well.

Yep, tell me about it. :(

Same situation as you.

PFRAN lights all around solved that problem for me.

yup, love my pfrans kit!! should have come like that from factory!

You'll be amazed at how bright the PFRANs are. I've had several people comment on how bright the reverse lights are.

Someone put those in my truck. Several of the bulbs are out and some flicker and flash. Go with PFran. He will stand behind them should they fail.

All LEDs can fail. One of my PFrans has some LEDs out but it's not that noticeable.
