sorry guys I didn't mean to sound harsh with my request. I have talked to Jim on the phone ONCE.....really wasn't about anything important just a SROR sticker to put on my 60 to support his product......just really didn't want to see the other thread forgotten about once everything was over.

I know I would have been getting really antsy after a few months and applaude EVERYONE involved for not taking any legal steps to remedy "the problem"

No problem amigo. I didn't take offense, and your point was valid. I agree when this is over and done, that there needs to be closure in the public forum. For me, that closure, is in a matter of hours *fingers crossed*, after the paint cures and my install happens.

OK as promised here is the review of the sliders and some current pictures of "Maggie" with her new mod. I know it's been awhile since I've made it to a meet, and quite a few things have happened since most of you guys have seen her. She is a far cry from when I first got her with her front passenger door stuck, thrashed front end, broken power windows, and ratted out interior.

As for the SROR Slider review...

I give Jim and his product :beer::beer::beer::beer:

There wasn't a single problem with the install. They went on very easy, and I'm extreamly happy with the craftsmanship of them. Truly an outstanding product! In the end it was worth the wait.

Now on to the pictures.

Maggie's lookin good D!

Thanks A!

She's come a long way in the past three years. She was so abused and neglected by her PO, he just didn't care. Half-a$$ this and half-a$$ that was his motto for repairs, so it's been a long road to undo all of his BS.

Now that she has turned 20, she is starting to turn heads again. I get 3-4 random compliments a week from strangers I cross paths with during my travels. It feels good to know my hard work has paid off. I also want to thank HJ60 and Rhino for helping with wrench time as well. Now she has one last thing to ovecome before she is truly trail ready. So, soon, very soon we will join you on a trail run.

Do you have a write up on the grille work? The black would look good on my wife's 62.

No write ups. When I did the front end work I pulled all the trim and cleaned it up real good with soap and water and gave it a wipe down with mineral spirits or maybe it was acetone to prep it for paint and remove any wax residue. I then masked off the Toyota emblem to leave it chrome and then shot it with a gloss black enamel paint. While I was at it I also did the vents on the fenders and the rear quarters. That's about all there was to it. I did it about 3 yrs ago and I re-shot it about 6 months ago to take care of rock chips. Hope that helps, but it is pretty straight forward and IMO should have come that way to begin with.

I'm sure my wife's 62 would do well with that treatment, especially with the black wheels that are on it.

I'm sure your wife's 62 would do extremely well with a set of black sliders, especially with the black wheels that are on it. Please let me know if you need a quote. Group buy will end soon :bounce::bounce2:.

So was that the last set? Is this group buy complete?

They went on fairly easy I couldn't get the bolts into the frame in the center on the passenger side either not because of the width of the holes but I just couldn't get the bolts to thread into the frame. Too hot out to keep trying. I painted them with Herculiner bed liner, it gave them a nice textured finish. I'm wondering how well it will hold up. Anyone else tried this, I got the idea from a friend who tried it and said his were doing well.
Anyway Kudos to Jim this is a very nicely designed and well built product.
