sorry guys I didn't mean to sound harsh with my request. I have talked to Jim on the phone ONCE.....really wasn't about anything important just a SROR sticker to put on my 60 to support his product......just really didn't want to see the other thread forgotten about once everything was over.
I know I would have been getting really antsy after a few months and applaude EVERYONE involved for not taking any legal steps to remedy "the problem"

Maggie's lookin good D!
Thanks A!
She's come a long way in the past three years. She was so abused and neglected by her PO, he just didn't care. Half-a$$ this and half-a$$ that was his motto for repairs, so it's been a long road to undo all of his BS.
Now that she has turned 20, she is starting to turn heads again. I get 3-4 random compliments a week from strangers I cross paths with during my travels. It feels good to know my hard work has paid off. I also want to thank HJ60 and Rhino for helping with wrench time as well. Now she has one last thing to ovecome before she is truly trail ready. So, soon, very soon we will join you on a trail run.
Do you have a write up on the grille work? The black would look good on my wife's 62.
travis' will ship by tuesday
arons, i'm hoping by the end of next week.
No write ups. When I did the front end work I pulled all the trim and cleaned it up real good with soap and water and gave it a wipe down with mineral spirits or maybe it was acetone to prep it for paint and remove any wax residue. I then masked off the Toyota emblem to leave it chrome and then shot it with a gloss black enamel paint. While I was at it I also did the vents on the fenders and the rear quarters. That's about all there was to it. I did it about 3 yrs ago and I re-shot it about 6 months ago to take care of rock chips. Hope that helps, but it is pretty straight forward and IMO should have come that way to begin with.
I'm sure my wife's 62 would do well with that treatment, especially with the black wheels that are on it.
