Has anyone heard of a stop sale on the LC250? Mine is due to arrive in the next week, but the dealer says there is a stop sale because of an "issue".

Been ongoing since 05/17. Rumor is an issue with the sunroof drain hose, but nothing official has come out. Currently projected to end early July.

Mine is also stuck in the port, dealer is telling me it's not an official offsale but sent me this:

Estimated Dealer Arrival: QC Hold on -05/17/2024-QUALITY CONFIRMATION ACTIVITY -Vehicle delayed for 56 days- ETA unavailable

Have they stopped transporting them in the system to dealers?

My FE is suppossed to be at dealer July 2-20 timeframe depending on the backlog. That is the current time frame given.

OT+ was in freight status on 24th may, was then told in qc hold once it arrived. Better fix whatever it is before they sell it, no hurry ...I might just cancel the booking and wait for all this to play out this year!!

Thinking the same on waiting this out. Really bummed since originally was hoping to have the car earlier this year / early spring. It’s now going to be pushing up to the 2025 models at this rate

I chose to let it go for a year back in March. Now that we have seen one in person at the dealer, we are looking at other options. Our response was a resounding “meh”. Sucks though for people that are still keen.

It is kind of meh...when we compare it to our lx570 it feels such a let down!!. Even our old gx460 felt better built. This is supposed to replace our durango...but now have been looking at low mileage gx460s.

Between the V6 engines blowing up and now this, it has not been a good year for Toyota QA/QC.
100%. It only takes a few screw-ups for a company to lose consumer confidence. Toyota had 14 R&D years to get the Tundra right and 15 R&D years to get the LC250 right, which makes these issues even more inexcusable.

Wish they'd have taken time to get details worked out. There's really no need for rushing new vehicles to market every 15-20 years.

It only took me one test drive on the new tundra to know it wasn't ready in 22. I'm sure they'll either fix or redesign them. But they're falling way short of expectations.

That’s the thing. They had the time. There were no deadlines. And the engineers and their marketing surrogates couldn’t shut up about their vigorous testing and unmatched reliability. Note that they are now silent as church mice.

So the real question is how the hell they did not find these during testing and inspection?

Obviously they weren’t tested or inspected. 100,000 engine recalls over a 2 year span means they stamped these engines out so fast on an assembly line like M&Ms.

Anyone here own a 80/100/200 series as well as the 250?

Very curious about owners of multiple LCs and their impression of new vs old…

I own a 88 FJ62 which is 36 years old and not in your parameters, but I have owned it for a long time. My Landcruiser FE is supposed to be delivered July 2-20 timeframe. I can talk to this when it comes in after delays. I will have both as I am never selling my FJ62.

I have had a couple 80s, 100s, a 200 and now the 550. Any specific questions I can answer?
Just would love to know if it feels like a natural extension of the LC lineage. I only have a couple of local friends that have test driven the new LC250 and were not thrilled at how it felt.

Power is good, hybrid tech was cool, but quality of materials felt more inline with the 4R rather than any prior US LC.

The 550 is probably closer to the prior LCs. The Lexus will likely have the higher quality materials, sound deadening etc.

I love that it has the original wheelbase, the upgrades to infotainment etc were much needed. I just don’t have the level of confidence in the powertrains (yet) that would want to have…

How is the noise level and seat comfort compared to the 100 and 200 in particular? I’ve got a 550 place in line and, while I have not had a 100 or 200 my brother has had both and I’m familiar with his.

We have a 5th Gen RX so I know the tech package on the 550.
