Joined the club today. Had an exterior switch malfunction, replaced, and figured it was time to do this interior switch. Simple install - thanks @cruiseroutfit and team for making this available!!!

Hi everyone, I'm trying to complete the install of the interior switch that I purchased from CruiserTEQ, but the wiring colors don't match up. I feel dumb to ask this question, I know the blue & white attach to the door switch but I'm not totally sure which pair to splice them into. The green & black attach to the light, but the ground on the light also seems to be backwards so that should be an easy adjustment. =/ I'd like to finish out this project today.

I do have the printed instructions. The colors just don't seem to match up. I guess I will attach the blue to blue and white to black on the switch. For the illumination, I will do green to white and black to green. Fingers crossed!Do you have the printed instructions from the kit? They should indicate the tie in points with vehicle side colors.
Got it! Reading is fundamental. Everything works. I made the cutout for the switch just a tiny bit big, need to find some epoxy. Besides that, awesome stuff.CruiserOutfitters harness ----- OE vehicle wiring

Let me know if your OE vehicle harness is any different?

Does anyone know if this kit allows the hatch to open if the doors are locked?
I need this kit, but my dog rides in the cargo area, so I'm hoping for a solution to prevent him from opening the hatch while going down the highway.
No connection to locked status.
Its powering the motor directly.
That’s important if sleeping in back with door locked if you need out in a hurry.
What I did on mine to be sure cargo shift wasn’t going to accidently release it…was to install a cabinet handle over the button (literally a black kitchen cabinet type handle. -This not only protects the button from inadvertent presses, but also makes shutting the hatch from inside easier when sleeping back there. The kit included a standard grab handle that folds via spring, but I prefer a plain, ridged handle for button protection. Works a charm and even stuffed full, nothing has inadvertently triggered the button.
In my experience, nothing disconnects the button except a dead battery. Also no dependency of driver kill switch relay button?
