What dealer? I need to start looking around. I’m headed to my local Venice, FL dealer tomorrow to see if they will do nothing over MSRP.

I posted this in another thread I should have put it here. I have not found a dealer in SW FL that will put me on any lists. They all say they will call me when they get more information.... I hate car dealers. Someday they will all end up service centers as direct sales will be the future... I wish it was now. 😔

I got on a list yesterday. Dont know how many others are on it, but no deposit and no ADM.

Asked for a base in a light color.

Called my local dealer here in MA and they are taking deposits at $7500 above MSRP. Nope.

Anyone find a New England dealer willing to do MSRP, please let me know.

I hate that there are people out there willing to pay those markups. Only reason the dealer does it is because people pay it.

I'm on the list at MSRP but I don't know that my connection with the auto group GM would extend to anyone else.

Yea, this dealer is in a pretty affluent town so guess most people don't blink an eye. I think I'll do better in southern NH - will try calling them tomorrow.

My dealer told me it will most likely be 2-3 years before I will even see one as they are only making 4k first round. Split between all the toyota dealers just in the usa that is maybe 2-3 cars per dealer. Obviously some dealers might get more. To put in perspective Ford Bronco built 160k cars for the first 6 months of 2023.

First edition will be 5k for the first year but that number doesn't include the 1958 and normal LC trim.

I would go find another dealer

I would go find another dealer
I called up 9 dealers around here and only one had a list that was filled already. The rest said first come basis if they get one in. I gave up. I went as far away as 300 miles.

If you look at 4runner ave sales (10k/month) and Wrangler ave sales (15k/month), I hope Toyota is planning on at least 5k units per MONTH of the LC250. I've heard 5K units for the 1st EDITION which makes sense, but they should be planning for 80K in the first year.

Is the 5K units for the 1st EDITION a once and done thing or annually?

Which dealer? I'm in MA too. I'm interested getting LC250, but will not paid any mark up. I will just walk away.

Lexington Toyota - a small dealer advertise no markup on all vehicles sale. Maybe reach out to them.

I happened to be next door to our dealer here (Kendal) and went in and asked.. The sales lady definitely didn't know much but was sure they'd be charging a markup... "we do it on all of our high-demand vehicles". She said they have a wait list of 14 people already and essentially agreed with me when I told her I wouldn't pay that.

It's really disappointing our local dealer sucks.. When I was buying TONS of parts restoring my 60 I avoided them entirely b/c not only would they not hook me up with any kind of discount, but they always charged 20-30% over MSRP and would argue with me anytime I asked them to only charge MSRP.
