I've got everything done on the truck in prep for my trip out to Yosemite and back except breather extensions. I ordered the ARB diff extension kits and that's pretty straight forward. Do I need anything else (tranny/transfer case)? Is there a how-to for the tranny and t-case somewhere?

Why do you need breather extensions for a trip to Yosemite? If you actually needed extended breathers in yosemite, you would also need an attorney.

There are four components that need to be vented: front diff, rear diff, transmission, and transfer case. There's some debate about running them to a manifold and single filter/breather.

Isn't the Merced river expected to flood due to the high run-off?

If you were planning on entering the park from the east, Hwy 120 may not open until late June or early July this year.

Taking an overland route up the continental divide in NM, over to Sitgreaves National Forest and then from SE corner of Sequoia National Park and up to Yosemite. Will be on fire and forest roads for a lot of the trip.

I've been monitoring and planning for months. 120 is closed, yes. We're entering from the south east of Sequoia, moving up through Kings Canyon to the West and then highway into Yosemite from the west and up the the cabin near Fish Camp.

I found a how-to for the 100 series - is it pretty close to the 80?

Anyone have pictures of t-case and tranny breather locations?? I'm not interested in diff locations, only t-case and tranny

Work back from those hoses. I think I ended up re-using them, T'd into the new lines I ran into the engine compartment.

If these already run all the way to the motor, couldn't I just splice in a 'T' connector at the dip stick, attach those hoses to either end of the T and then run a single hose another couple of feet and terminate on the firewall?

Since these terminate at the tranny dipstick, the new high water level will be the top of that dipstick? If this is true, having extended the diffs is okay for now.
