So I decided to install my 4.11s and Lock Right this weekend. 4.11s went well, but wouldnt you know it I managed to launch one of the springs for my Lock Right across the garage. I found the inner spring but the outer is still MIA. Other than the one spring the lockers installed, going to toss the cover on the diff and push it out of the garage until I can source a spring. I plan to call Richmond gears/Lock Right on Monday.

I also fixed my parking brake, the cable inside the drum failed. I fixed it and now I have a parking brake again.

Found the spring, got it all together and tested it out. Lockers make a world of difference. Definitely one of the best bang for the buck mods for off road capability!

Yessir! Just finished breaking my Aussie in, I like how unnoticeable it is on the road, but have yet to test it out off road. Which is why im heading to the mtns tmrw yaaaahooo!

Nope :frown:

I'm planning to do a bunch of eastern wheeling to make up for it though!

Went on my real maiden voyage this weekend. A group of us went to Mettowee Off Road Extreme Park in NY. All went well for most of the day. I got up everything I tried without too much trouble. Unfortunately I ripped apart my braided front brake line in the late afternoon causing my day to be about 2 hours shorter than the rest of my friends. I had a blast and cant wait to go back.

I have to build a different trans crossmember before I wheel again, my DS self clearanced on the stock crossmember. I'm also going to build sliders and tie in my rear 1/4 protection to the frame. I'm also thinking of doing something to beef up the stock skid plate, it took quite the beating last weekend.

Due to my lack of figuring out how to embed it...

Sweet video :D Your truck looks the most composed of the bunch. That other blue 60 sounds mean!

I've always had a soft spot for those rangers... probably because they're so darn cheap :o

Thanks, I was doing my best not to get any body damage. The other 60 is my brothers (phishincruisin)

The Ranger is sas'd with full size bronco solid axles. It got around well until the rear driveshaft twisted up.

Sick! Where in ny is that?

Its in Granville, about a 2 hour drive for us, but well worth it

Get some trailgear /marlin crawler sliders before you damage your rockers! Nice video and awesome 60.

Or I could make some that are better? Yeah I'll make some better sliders. Thanks! Stay tuned, like I said some more armor is currently in the works!

Not much to update. Found I have a cracked front leaf. So I stopped driving the 60 until I can figure out how I want to fix it. Must have happened last month while wheeling.

I have a friend whos in Australia until December. He told me he'd get me any aussie parts I wanted. So I have him on the look out for an inclinometer, some aussie mirrors (I already have a set but I figured they were small and people here want them) I was trying to figure out what other reasonably small and affordable parts he could get and send me. I was thinking a snorkel with the prefilter would be nice. Any good parts other people can think of? Not sure if the sliding rear windows are within reason. :hhmm:

My brother and I did some wheeling on a local class 4 road a couple weeks back. Here's the video of me on it. I took video of him, but my Droid doesnt interface with my Mac quite as well as my brothers iPhone does. Hence why I got the video of me from his phone and not the video of him from my phone :bang:

I was dumb and managed to drive into a downed tree causing some damage to my fender. :censor:

Did some wheeling this weekend. Once again my 60 made it up things I didnt think it could get up and it made it look easy. Unfortunately on the way home the right rear brake area started smoking badly. Ended up parking it and coming back with my trailer to bring it home. I think the wheel bearing destroyed itself. I didnt notice any negative impact on driving before I parked it. My friend was following me in his truck and told me it was smoking. When I loaded it on the trailer (probably 2.5 hours after parking it) there was some noticeable drag from the right rear. It then seized momentarily while backing off the trailer, then started moving again with some noticeable drag

I suppose it could be something in the brake drum, but I would have expected it to have pulled to the right while it was smoking. But I had no idea anything was wrong. I suppose the fact that I have a locker could make it less noticeable. The diff oil was almost full, maybe half an inch below the fill hole. The fluid looks ok, but has a burnt smell. I'll have to pull it apart this weekend and see what happened.

Right side moves freely. Left side is frozen...odd.

Just watched a little of the earlier video you posted. Looks like an awesome time. I don't go wheeling as much as I would like to, but I wouldn't like taking body damage :frown:

Hopefully you get your issue figured out soon!

Yeah I hate getting body damage. But it comes with the territory, and to be honest it makes me feel good to look at my truck and see proof that the build was worth it with so much time and money invested in it. Plus chicks dig body damage, right?

Well I had a whole thing typed up about my most recent wheeling trip, but then my Macbook locked up. I'm currently watching the Discovery channel show about Steve Jobs...weird.

Anyway, here's a summary. My brother, friend with the SAS'd mini truck and I went back to Mettowee Off Road Extreme Park in NY. This time it was a bit muddy. Made the obstacles more difficult but also a lot more fun. Throttle was needed. Trying to go up a steep rock face I managed to break my drivers motor mount. So I have to replace it, I think I'm going to weld some chain to the mount to limit the extension so it doesnt fail again. I managed to run into something, I dont remember doing it and nobody remembers seeing me hit anything. It was easy enough to pull out.

Shes a trailer queen. With 3 of us wheeling and the park being around 2 hours away from home it makes sense to have a trailer incase one of us catastrophically fails.

IH8MUD. My grandfather got his tractor stuck, so I unstuck it. Doing so caused me to go mud digging. Fun stuff, washing it's not so fun.

Thats about it since the last update. Thinking of links and 63s this winter. I wish there was a good way to run coilovers in the rear. I dont think I'm quite ready to cut my floor and lose cargo space for shock hoops.
