My Landcruiser indicates on the metal plate on bonnet that the transmission is of type A442F.
I would like to know the dry fill capacity of the transmission. I seem to be getting rather confusing transmission dipstick readings after dry fill.
Is the capacity 11.4 liters, 12 liters, 13 liters, 15 liters or something else?
I am currently sticking with the dipstick reading after a dry fill. However, I am concerned that gears are not shifting well after a dry fill of 12 liters (which is actually giving correct dipstick readings).
Is it also possible that the dipstick reading is just wrong for some reason - may be the stick is going too far or too near after dismantling and re-assembling?
I would appreciate any guidance.
