Major Trucking Firms Prepare For "Imminent Diesel Shortage In Eastern Half Of US"

Founder and CEO of FreightWaves Craig Fuller said "3 very large fleets" are preparing for diesel pumps at fuel stations to run dry. Drivers of these fleets received notifications about fuel shortages that could materialize in the coming weeks.

I was eying this stuff up last time I was in the ghetto superstore in Esquimalt. Wonder how teh old 2LT would drink this stuff? At $3 a litre, it's becoming close to recent ridiculous diesel costs. $48 for 16l.

Guys at work were just bitching about fuel. One guy is getting 26L per 100k in his ford superduty...

Made me feel better about my 10-11 per 100.

Getting to the point where a commuter s***box is worth it again. I just hate the hassle of another vehicle.
Sad but true.

26L/100km is terrible. Around town my 9000+ lb ambo gets 21. At 70+ mph on the I5 14 l/100 km. Best was a run up to Tigh-Na-Mara and back 11 l/100km.

Well, at $2.259/litre today it cost $80 to drive to YYJ and back. No stops. I guess from now on
will have to compare shipping all the way to my house across US as it’s cheaper than driving
200 kms. Something really wrong with this picture………
Customs did give me a break and ‘no charge’ for duties and taxes on $326 US 24V starter for 13BT!
Definitely helped offset the fuel cost.
