I've got the other HDJ parked there, the one that looks like it hasn't seen a wash mitt in years....
Ahhh that's you!!

Man, on my first day arriving at UVIC in September when I saw your 80 and @GTSSportCoupe 's 78, I got very excited😂. I've been having a blast exploring the island this year. Heading up to the Nitnat tomorrow in everlasting search of a steelhead...

Nothing Super crazy but my spring over BJ60 gets 650 kms per tank. It does weigh 7200 pounds. At that weight, you think I should put a 5.9 cummins in her.

Nice! I used to be that guy and will again when my youngest gets a bit older. My switch rod is collecting dust and my flytying stuff is in a box these days. GTSSportCoupe had a run in with a nice mended kelt up in that area, beautiful fish.

And to return to the topic...

my truck averages 14L/100km on my daily drive from Sooke to UVic. Used to be a bit better before all the construction and mystery traffic back ups these days. I have noticed that my winter Duratracks are worse on fuel than my cooper stmaxx. When I switch back I hope I can save a few bucks a tank, anything helps.

Filled up tonight. I used go to the esso in oyster bay, but every time I use their pumps, it won't accept the pin on my card, and says I have one more attempt before it's frozen.
Actually did freeze my card several months ago, because I tried a second time thinking I'd missed a number or something.

Anyways, didn't feel like dealing with that bs so I went to the shell in Ladysmith.

Reg gas, $1.84
Diesel, $2.12

That is some bull**** right there. :cautious:

And I was at around 11L per 100k on this tank.

Despite treating the gas pedal as though my testicles were wedged under it.

Esso I've used forever has been 30 cents higher than a shell two blocks away. There's definitely some price gouging going on. I pay more attention now.

Our shop manager at work approached a bulk fuel sales outfit locally and they gave us employees a fixed rate discount of a 1.80 for diesel and a 1.75 for gas. Which is pretty cool. Diesel up here is 2.09. Maybe you guys can organize something like that down there? It’s pretty sad when a 1.80 starts to feel good in the old prison wallet. Atleast groceries are really expensive too.

s*** if my work got involved it'd be 5 bucks a litre for "hospital grade" fuel.

I was just more shocked at the difference between reg gas and diesel. Saw the sign for 1.8x gas and had hope until I got to the pump.

There's only a few stations on my route and they don't all post the diesel price.

Is what it is I guess. We'll be pining for $2 fuel in a year or two.

I think the co-op card locks are discounted as well. Not sure how much tho. Don’t know if they are available down there or have “hospital grade”🤣

Was just in Edmonton for a work thing. 1.60L for Reg gas.

Have a Columbia Fuels card lock account. It’s usually 5-6c lower than the going prices. Unfortunately I don’t know the price I paid till I see the statement at the end of the month. That’s the downside. Upside, no lineups.

Was averaging 20.5-21L/100km in the old wind sail of a service truck. f*** my life!
Guys at work were just bitching about fuel. One guy is getting 26L per 100k in his ford superduty...

Made me feel better about my 10-11 per 100.

Getting to the point where a commuter s***box is worth it again. I just hate the hassle of another vehicle.
