Nice! I used to be that guy and will again when my youngest gets a bit older. My switch rod is collecting dust and my flytying stuff is in a box these days. GTSSportCoupe had a run in with a nice mended kelt up in that area, beautiful fish.Ahhh that's you!!
Man, on my first day arriving at UVIC in September when I saw your 80 and @GTSSportCoupe 's 78, I got very excited. I've been having a blast exploring the island this year. Heading up to the Nitnat tomorrow in everlasting search of a steelhead...

You mean like monthly meetings??Maybe you guys can organize something like that down there?
Its cheaper to take a ferry to Vancouver and back than fill your tank now.s*** if my work got involved it'd be 5 bucks a litre for "hospital grade" fuel. Our shop manager at work approached a bulk fuel sales outfit locally and they gave us employees a fixed rate discount of a 1.80 for diesel and a 1.75 for gas. Which is pretty cool. Diesel up here is 2.09. Maybe you guys can organize something like that down there? It’s pretty sad when a 1.80 starts to feel good in the old prison wallet. Atleast groceries are really expensive too.
Guys at work were just bitching about fuel. One guy is getting 26L per 100k in his ford superduty...Was averaging 20.5-21L/100km in the old wind sail of a service truck. f*** my life!
