Just a few pics of the process, very easy with the help of usug penetrating oil on the bolts a week prior to the work and the use of and impact gun. The nylock nuts seem to really seize up after being on there for a while.
Though I have done a lot mechanically and consider myself very mechanically inclined I have never uninstalled and reinstalled springs. Doing this for the first time on such a large vehicle was frightening at some parts of the install between getting the jack stands at the proper height and figuring out that it is easiest to drop the entire axle from the center not one side at a time is very satisfying when the axle is lowered and the springs practically fall out.But between the creeks from the jack and a couple of jack slips (I had safety jacks stands under the axle) the unintended and unintentional movement of a 3+ ton vehicle makes your heart skip a beat!!
I spent time to scrape off the chipped paint from the older OME springs and recoat them with Plastidip since it should deal with the flex better, I hope.
As the previous mod shows i extended the brake lines which too longer to do than than this mod but is warranted and helpful in the swap and long install and axle drop. I also painted the bottom spring perches and top spring tower and bump stop mount. I didn't take a pic but Man-A-Fre suggests greasing the inside of the spacer since it aids in settling. I'm glad I did since when the truck had its weight on them they slipped right in. Good tip my jackman gave me is to put the space on the spring before installing which saved time trying to get the bottom of the spacer to go into the top of the spring.
If all the prep work is done, ie. brake lines, penetrating oil, paint, anti seize, and an impact gun are used this job should go easy. It does help to have 2 people though.

Thanks!! I'm a fan of OZ and when i got the truck everyone said it looks like something from Australia and I thought Steve Irwin was hilarious and he always said Crikey, unfortunately someone already had that tag in NJ so I just used a K instead of a C
Now when everyone ask's about my truck the ask me 'Hows KRIKEY' pretty cool!

nice work. I am going to do the same thing to my roof rack since it hits things on the trails. Will I see you at CMCC? I will be there Friday and Sat.

I won't be there this time but next year most likely. I had a great time last year with everyone. And for the roof rack I like the lower profile look plus it allowed for the angled positioning of my HiLift
which brake lines are these? i have the 2.5 TJM springs on mine and at full droop the rear center one is under tension and i wanted to change the front center. will these work? i was looking for a OEM toyota or a steel braided line.

i think the front has 3 brake hoses. 1 on each end and 1 in the middle. which 2 are the part numbers for? thanks man
