OEM or OME? OEMs are Tokico, which IMHO are fantastic quality shocks, never heard of problems with them.

They were the OEM Toyota/Tokico shocks.......but they had 130K miles of abuse from 2000UZJ so its not surprising that they broke.

OK, that makes sense.

Why is it always not surprising when I break things?

On the other hand. I blew both rear shocks (one I over extended somehow and blew the seal), the other one started leaking so not sure. The front I had seized during a very cold water crossing. There was 2" thick ice involved, I think ice got in there and bend the shock. When we removed it it would not budge. It made for a very rough ride. At 130K of "abuse" or driving they still road great and felt like they could of last another 25K

I've had a chnace to get some miles on these....Ride quality on these is excellent, yet they take abuse well. I'm writing these down in price to move them out. Drop me a PM if interested.

I still have two full sets (4) of these on the shelf. They are turning out to be the Land Cruiser of shocks, very long lasting, and very serviceable when they may eventually need it. Check out these guys... http://www.beadelltours.com.au/shock_absorbers.html

I'll post of some pics of the internals for those interested...

The KONi Raid I installed on my buddy’s LR Disco, 80 series and 1999 100 series 8 years ago is still going strong w/o leaks or issues.

Without a doubt this is the route I will take if I will build a static suspension (non-AHC) 100 series again.
