I would want to try going back up. Unfortunately I have sprung an antifreeze leak on the way to work today. I won't be going tomorrow. I might stop to see everyone before you head out.

Plenty of free seats if you just want to ride along...

A bachelorette party, AND in NYC :eek::eek:?????

Oh, man, you should get a month of Saturday wheeling days for her one bachelorette party!

Have you seen how many inanimate objects suddenly become penises at these events?

Straws, hats, balloons, lollipops, delicious cakes, etc...

Not to mention the male strippers!

We were greeted by a girl with a tie die shirt on! But honestly, this place is in the middle of nowhere and it's awesome. I am surrounded by 3 jeeps and need backup!

What has been seen cannot be unseen. My eyes are bleeding.

Great run today. Had a blast and met new people. Didn't get too many pics. Was too busy plowing rocks today! LOL.

Although this one is sort of funny. Gary screaming stop... Don't move. I took a shot from the drivers seat while we were in limbo.

Well well, another good day for the Keystone Cruisers! Good weather especially if you like it warm. Blue skies, a good group of six capable rigs to explore further the trails at Anthracite. And explore and doscover we did: found lots of good trails stumbled across a few familiar ones and got out of the park with minimal damage. Out of the staging area before 9AM and on my way home a little after 3PM. Not much full size vehicle activity- there was a group of three Broncos and a group of four jeeps that we surprisingly ran into on the trail. Lots of motorcycles and ATV's- I'd estimate maybe sixty of them total, they are not really a problem for us. We had Greg in his 80, Chris in his 80, Jody in the FJ, newcomer (with Florida plates!) Chris and Sarah, Dave (Gadgetguy) in his white 80 and Vince in his 80.

We found a steep loose ttrail that nobody could get up, especially after Greg chewed it up on a few attempts. We could have winched up but it would have made for a long stay on that one section of trail. Parallel to that climb is a red trail that reminds me of outer limits at rausch. We did go down one short steeeep section (see Jody's picture!) with some big rocks sticking out of it. After the six trucks got down there were very few rocks sticking out of the rop. Three different guy dug big rocks out of the ground and dragged them down under their rigs.

Not as wet this trip as it was on our last trip. Trails are interesting and with finding so much new stuff there is further need to explore. Basically there is very little of interest for us north of the main road (on your left heading into the park) except for the blue rated culvert drive and rock garden off trail 731. We were on a number of trails in the "point" area that showed up on neither the Anthracite handout mad nor the Apps program in Greg's truck. While we were bvery close to the southeast corner of the park and had hoped to do the blue trail off #755 we decided to leave that for another day. Plenty of other stuff to occupy us.

Maybe some of our members from Virginia might like to wheel a day or so at Anthracite during the fall crawl- I'm sure we as a club would be glad to lead a group up there in October. For as tame as i thought the place was on our first visit I am becoming more aware that there are aenough good tough trails there to satisfy almost anyone who hasn't yet wheeled there. We're awfully lucky to have both Rausch and Anthracite available to us. Porat potties are clean and there is a rudimentary sink setup to wash at the staging area. Appreciated. All in all a very good day on the trail; for the Keystone guys, can't wait to see some pictures!

Yeah, Jody had rolled up a big rock the point of which went up inside his undercarriage between the bumper and the rear axle. It lifted his passenger rear tire way up in the air and all this on a steep drop. I thought if he tried to continue down the drop it might have turned him over as the rock was sort of levering up the pass rear corner. We wicnched him back uphill off the rock and he went down on a different line- of course that rock was no longer an obstacle. A very interesting section of trail! And it's funny, pictures don't usually give an accurate portrayal of how steeo a trail is but Jody's picture does indeed capture the angle.

Great shots!!!! I'll try to post some video later! GoPro in the front didn't do to well. Some clump of dirt on the front stopped it from really focusing.

Wow, pics are awesome! Some of thone trails look pretty gnarly, I'm not sure my pretty rig would of made it.

Fun trip yesterday. I had a blast... good company, good trails, fine weather! I'll be there again in a heart beat. Greg, thanks for all the pics. They're excellent.
