Found a clue here...

Spoke with Asst. manager Craig...assures me it will be available tomorrow 0900.
It's labeled as a '75. We know better. I'm guessing '70. Unable to see frame number or VIN tag.
I'm thinking I'll be there early.

I would LOVE it if you could snag that upper-control panel section (the part with the Land Cruiser tag, window control, and pad). Any chance of that/does that make sense?

ok, I'm making a list.
But I like that grill too...

honk if you think a bad sig other would go to the junkyard without his woman ;)

I think all will be forgiven if I bring home some good parts...

I'd be interested in the glove box door and the headlight buckets...

I only saw one back-up lens...

pighead said rear handle had a sheetmetal screw holding it in/together

No. Not today, dagnabbit. Tomorrow (Saturday? Shoot...) Pig's still in the side-yard.
Means I have to be there even earlier in the morning to save my place in line with my toolbox waiting for the doors to open.
On the plus side, now I know you can save your place in line with a toolbox, and I'm on a first-name basis with the asst. manager (Craig)... I think he just likes the opportunity to speak English to somebody during his workday.

Can't see anything I would need, maybe if it were actually a 75 I would. Most of my needs have to do with sheet metal anyway.

Have fun and welcome to Colorado.

'69 sheetmetal is thicker (better) than '75...

Most of the Pigs here (in Ige's driveway) already have the '69 grill...'cuz they are that cool. My (TWRECKS) grill has a busted lens in the '69 grill...I need that lens.
If the new '69 grill is better than one we have, I'm gonna keep it. But, we may have a spare '69 grill (with a busted lens) when we are done. Do not lose hope.

Cool...

Update...

...was able to sneak back into the sideyard where the Pig is staying overnight. It's nice that they let you take a toolbag into the yard with you...makes it easy to cut a hole in the fence. Saw the VIN tag, June 1969. Got a few secret spy pics.
The dashpad is very poor. There was a box of spare parts in the back yesterday, it's gone today. As is the tailgate inner panel, which spoils my plan for smuggling medium sized soft parts out without paying for them. Argh.
