Joe the rig looks sweet, is the body going to get stripped down as well?

Thanks my friend.
No, not SKINNER stripped down like.
My buddy has the body at his home shop now. He's gonna remove any and all rust, and paint it.
I took pretty decent care of the truck so my interior isn't shot. Gonna do some interior stuff like a tuffy. Would like a drawer system in the back as well.

Nice work on the frame and restoration. I am working on my '85 and the rear frame cross member is rotten. Just curious is to whether the rear cross member on the 62's work on the 60's. They look different.

thanks

The 60 has the curved crossmember only.
Where as the 62 is much beefier with the curved section, then an outer rear of frame rail crossmember over top and welded to the curved one and over the top of the frame ends.

Are they exactly the same, not sure. My 60 frame is at my buddy's so i can't measure it compared to the 62 frame in the garage.

It appears from the pics that the 60 crossmember comes flush with end of framerails.
On the 62 frame, it appears inset because the outer covering crossmember curves in a little.

No, his name is Eric.:flipoff2:
I could of swore that hole went all the way thru but Spike says no.
Hey, you got any of those exhaust manifold side EGR block off plates we talked about yet?
BTW, the freakin' lock nuts for that are NLA from Toyota. WTF?

The EGR plates are supposed to be coming from the machinist, but he's been slacking off...;)

The 8mm flanged locknuts for the manifold side plate are NLA? In that case use the similar 8mm locknuts for the EGR tube to exh manifold (90179‑08128) and a washer (94611‑10800).

The locknuts for the j-pipe to the exhaust manifold are nla.
When you get the exhaust manifold block off plate give me a shout.

Jim: Do you have any plans for a bunch of these block of plates?

I've already made mine and drilled some holes, but this was a homebrew.

I'd prefer a more elegant solution.

Thanks.

In that case, use the side plate locknuts (sorry, can't find the PN now) on the J-pipe.

Or just get generic crushed copper 8mm locknuts from the parts store.

A fellow mudder is working on them now, in between real machining jobs.

Subscribed! Amazing work. I am also looking at doing a restore like this on mine. Great motivational thread.:bounce:

Thanks, it's been a labor of love to say the least.
There's lots of great people here on MUD that have helped with the new and used parts as well as expertise services.
Better get on with your resto as parts are getting harder to find as every year goes by.
