I still think you should go with the 350 and jeep body. I'll take that underpowered 2f off your hands.

All 78-later USA cruisers have the carb cooling fan in the LH corner of the engine bay. Since the fuel system is on the LH of F series engines, that should be the only side w/ a carb/injector cooling fan.

Ya my bad, don't know why I was thinking the one pictured was opposite mine. It is not.

So do the pre-78 Cruisers have the carb cooling fan on the RHS?

Sorry for the hijack.... :o

That looks pretty bad. Better just throw in the towel now. :D

Nice work man. Where is the body? haha

Onur,
Was the number on the back of the valve cover a chassis number for the yards full of chassis you see in pictures or an engine number?
Did you see something similar at TAB?

More than likely either an engine number or even a part number from a lot of parts.

you're an OCD freakoid.

Nah, i'm nothing of the sort. I have never waxed my vehicles and if it weren't for drive thru car washes they would never get washed either.

But I am a scale model builder and i guess i have just taken on this project the same sort of way.

Gotcha.
I'm gonna pretend it was an Arakawa rolling chassis number though.
I thought it was cool when i found it on the back of the valve cover so i re wrote it in crayon on the same one after it was powder coated.:flipoff2:

yeah I figured, most weirdos don't admit to being weirdos.

Got the parts together and the exhaust run. My buddy tigged the front downpipe that had a crack around the weld on the manifold side and cut off and sealed up the air tube hole.
Got some NLA hanger parts from Godwin that were in great shape. I wanted to run a factory set up so i could do it in the garage by myself and have everything bolt up. Another buddy did the last couple custom bent tailpipes but that would entail bringing the truck/chassis to him.
Sam at Lowe sold me the tailpipe for $204.45. Was not sure i wanted to get a tailpipe shipped for fear of damage but figured Lowe was on the east coast so i'd give it a shot. Came wrapped beautifully with no damage. Cheaper than my buddy could do it for.

Also used a magnaflow high flow cat. Supposed to be bolt in but seemed like it was a 1/2" short. Also found it still had the thermosensor hole. Pondered how to seal it up good. Then realized a cone from the front aisin hub would probably seal around the sensor and it was the same shape as the cat's hole. It's not stainless but should last for as long as I run her as she won't be a DD anymore.
