Good Morning!
Todd's now on a Mon-Fri schedule and my parents are post surgeries, SO I wanted to throw this invite out there:

Saturday Dec 8th is the annual Christmas celebration in Jemez Springs. The Jemez Historical Site will have the structures lit with faralitos and luminarias; there will also be native flautists and dancers (there is an entry fee this year).

I'm proposing the Christmas tree hunt for that day, and either a lunch potluck in the field somewhere or one later in the afternoon our place (in the village and walking distance to the historic site, adult beverage place, etc). We have a smoker and can smoke some meats.

I can grab tree permits prior for those coming from the north. I can also get them from those coming from the south, or the ranger station by Walatowa will be open that day and you can get them on the way in.

Let me know if you're interested!

Cheryl

I've made this sticky and added the date to the title.

I'm interested!! no tree permit needed though.

Sounds like a great plan. Thanks for suggesting it and posting something to motivate the rest of us.

I'm in, don't need tree permit thanks tho!

I'm interested, no permit needed.

I'll be elk hunting, but that means I could make the x-mas party.

Cheryl and I crossed paths today at Jemez Sprigs!!! It’s hard to miss a RHD 80 in that town....

I will be joining in and no tree permit needed!

It was great to see you on the road! I saw you in the village driving through the parking lot at the park about a month ago as well. I was in the Firehouse Grill but recognized your rig with the sweet RTT! Looking forward to meeting you in a couple weeks!

I haven't made a "tree run" in a very long time. Guess I'll fix that. I'm in, no tree.

My sister is in town that weekend. Trying to see if we can schedule around her visit. Or, I could have her family drive the 4runner and I drive the Cruiser.

I am going to try to do this. Sounds like a good time. If we can go I will bring the wife and a couple kids. Hopefully see snow.

We may go along, but may bug out early to get back into town for an event we are going to that evening. No tree permit needed for us. What time do we meet and where? Thanks for planning this?. Happy Thanksgiving!!
