Very cool.

Can you share some info. That being the vehicle identify numbers. It would really help the ih8mud 100 series tech section.
I'd like more info, to put into the thread on
engine identification.
Many claims online, to have low mileage JDM 4.7L engine for sale in USA. But in 7 years of looking, each, has been a scammer claims. Not one would provide any pictures of the engine. Each made excuses when asked. Whereas they may not have VIN #. They would have identifying marking or numbers. Or at minimum some documation. Most if not all these scammers, sell USA made high mileage engine. They remove the VIN # plate from head, so it can't be identified (miles or origin)..
These numbers or markings on engine. May differ from the USA manufacture 4.7L. But there would be something. Otherwise, parts ordering would be just hit and miss. As we've many variation throughout the world and years. Also tax laws in Japan, could be fooled easily.
The real JDM importers, have told me: "They've never seen JDM 4.7L come into USA in 20 plus year in business of importing and sells".
In USA models, we have VIN #. With it, we can track vehicle from day it was made in Japan. It's also used when ordering parts.
I've been told, built for Japan market, have a chassis number. A shorter number, than VIN # of those built for North American market.
I'm interested in picture of plate on "A" pillar or wherever it may be. Which show, build date, identifying number, color code, tire size & PSI, etc. And any on engine, that match to vehicle and its history.
I'm super interested in numbers on engine, that identify it in any way. That may also match body (tags on body, to identify), frame numbers (RH side, front frame rail, viewed looking at frame just back of tire).
In USA market. The 4.7L has a VIN # plate on engine BK 2 head (RH head). Do these JDM have a plate or number anywhere?

Blocks also have casting marks, but these are hard to see. They're on BK2 back side of block. Just below head.
