Trying to figure out the best spot to mount my 48" farm Jack. Tried the roof mount but couldn't get it in the garage. Looked at mounting it in the front bumper (ARB) but wasn't interested in a potential decapitation and really didn't like the look. Then I came across this solution that connects to my ARB rear bumper swing. What do you think?

I think if you ever drop down into a hole and the jack hits ground while moving forward you could end up with some significant damage.
Before I got my Slee bumper with the jack mount I carried mine as follows:
With jack dissasembled, jack bar on the floor under the second row seats, it will just clear the door interior panels and the seats keep it pinched safely secured in place,
The jack ratchet with handle and base strapped to the floor in rear cargo area.

Lately, I've been toying with the idea of just getting rid of it and all its related attachments. It looks cool as hell but in 10 years of off roading I've never used even once.

same here. used 1x over 30yrs. plus they weigh a ton, and serious disaster magnet.

I carry one while on trips, but not daily. Not a bad idea to have a last resort ;-)

I personally think it's sticking out too far, but it will very likely work.
Why not mount it on the side of the jerry can holder towards the tire?! 80/20 profile that fits into the trench of the jack, 2 bolts, done.
Or hide behind the box between the trunk and that A Frame of the jerry can holder. You could potentially transfer the lead directly onto the bumper instead of having it hanging and creating a momentum.

The ARB mount would work better. I would also relocate the clamp on the top of the jack to lower the profile and doesn't catch on anything. I find the jack useful for many things... just not useful for changing tires.

is the right turn/brake light visible with the tire on it?
X2 the additional weight hanging off the rack and the loss of clearance
