Hey all, another question for the Bat cruiser build.
I just received the bearings ordered for the rebuild, and they are ITM, not Toyota. I did not think to ask when I ordered what brand, but I was supposing they would be OEM. I am not knocking the seller at all, just wanted the opinion of the experts if ITM is reliable.
Thanks, Frank

Toyota does not make bearings, OEM was KOYO

You need to be more specific. Wheel bearings, transmission or engine? ITM is a Chinese brand of engine parts, so I imagine you're asking about engine bearings.

My machine shop supplied me with ITM crank bearings. One man, old school shop with a good reputation. He assured me they were very good. My later research agreed with his assessment.

That makes me feel warm and fuzzy... I am 50K into an ITM rebuilt 2F... no issues, just noisey lifters. I flog it daily~3K-35oo rpm cruise...

Thanks all, yes, it is main, rod and cam bearings . Sorry, I should have been more specific . I am a s***ty communicator.

I used them after my machine shop and another guy that knows cruisers said they were fine. I vaguely remember that they could be made in Israel instead of China, maybe? I’m probably not remembering that right. Anyway, I don’t have a ton of mile since my rebuild but so far so good. Proceed with confidence. There aren’t a lot of options...

not everything from over thar is junk; just their boats
