Currently I have it in the drawer, inside a winter beanie for protection and to make use of an article of clothing that I like to have on hand. I run it off the PowerTank (for those wondering) mounted on the roof.

In my young, broke, and not too bright days I had a torn cv boot on a Subaru hatchback. I filled it with grease, wrapped it in gaffers tape (musician), and drove it for almost a year. More grease and more tape every few weeks and was good to go. Never made any noise until I finally got it repaired.Halfway home from LCDC I decided to put some on a small tear for peace of mind

Not a comment about what’s in my bag (still building one out) but more to what I’ve seen listed on here before. You will see anything from minimalist bags to a roller chest worth of stuff. As for my needs I like to go with what will fit my vehicle and keep as streamlined as possible, mainly for weight and space savings. A good way to pair down your kit is to use it when doing repairs or maintenance at your house and see what tools you use. Mainstays for me are items like zip ties, duct tape, and bailing wire then the hand tools I use for maintenance. My kit includes some spares like serpentine belt, clamps and whatnot. You can end up with a lot of stuff before you know it.Whats your list of tools look like? Has anyone documented?!
I'm driving from VT to OR in September and starting to piece together my 'kit'. Wondering what everyone else is rolling with as far as tools!

I defer to experts like @Taco2Cruiser and @Markuson . @Taco2Cruiser has a great quote somewhere on this forum that it's not a matter of how many tools you bring but knowing how to use them.Whats your list of tools look like? Has anyone documented?!
What are you planning on doing and how many miles on your truck?Whats your list of tools look like? Has anyone documented?!

I have this one:What 39MM hub socket do y’all prefer? I’ve looked at Proto, SK, and Wright but they don’t make one.
I need to get on that service manual cloud set up.
