you're right. it is nice, but definitely not $25,000 nice.

There was a guy around the corner from me who had a rotted out one which was hacked to death listed for $25,000. I called thinking he must have put the price wrong thinking it was either $250.00 or $2,500. When he told me the prices was $25,000 I laughed.

Those rims are awful I much prefer a more classic look

Right that picture is an example of what I was talking about when I mentioned classic. This is a picture of the one listed above I think those are American racing.

A lot of folks don't add value to 1983 FJ-40s. A lot of folks don't add value to 1997 Sage 40th Anniversary FZJ-80s...

I've been adding both to my watch lists on eBay and Mud for the past 10 years and, like it or not, they almost always bring premiums.

The seller of this 83 hasn't exaggerated it's rarity...the numbers he quotes are in-line with what has been floated on Cruiser boards for years.

Whether it's a $25K truck or not...time will tell.

people can ask what ever they want ... doesn't mean you need buy it or that it will sell.

At least someone understands "capitalism" :)

Not restored
Unique year and options
Low miles
Generally great condition... Especially for the east coast

I think this is a 15k truck without any trouble... 20k is not unreasonable for someone with the dough.

I cracked up when I saw this rig, but the description should read "Outstanding condition, state-of-the-art modifications, truly one of a kind. Very rare, won't last." Agreed Matt, but I think PT Barnum was right ... having made my share of ill-advised purchases, that is ... D'oh!

The 83's are definitely in a category all by themselves due to some "minor" interior upgrades and really low import #'s. Definetely not enough for me to fork out that kind of money for one, but a guy with coin who wants to throw it on mothballs might be willing to buck up. I could also see someone purchasing and doing a complete resto on it. The body looks restoreable to me as does the rest of it.

I'm sure you have some wiggle room with this if you contacted the seller, BUT as my pop always told me...."there's an ass for every seat." Too bad my ass is strapped to a 74 Bronco with tons of rust.
