and a  for not installing your own snorkel.

I know that there is a template but I'd rather not be the one who f**** up my fender on a misdrilled hole

Then don't f*** it up! Have some confidence brotha...

I like to know that if I mess something up, that it was me rather than someone else; and you learn something during the whole process. That's part of the thrill of doing any of this in the first place.

As long as you have the necessary tools, mechanics, and patience of how to go about a particular install dude, you should be alright.

here's a clip of an install; I doubt you could do this scary of a job

Lay off. If the guy doesn't want to do it himself, so be it. There's things we're all not comfortable doing on our own rigs and have someone else do.

That is true, just make sure that the shop that is going to do it, actually know more than you do :D

That's exactly why theres SOF! THEY FIX EM GOOD! Altho I did install my own bumpers sliders skidplates snorkel and roof rack.:hillbilly:

Agreed. I have never installed one and wanted it done right with a funtional power antenna. I'm relatively close to Slee and knew they would do it right so that was the route I went.

I was not going to get the snorkel but the wife talked me into it (she liked the look). Since CM and 3-days of trails I was pretty impressed on how clean my filter was after the trip. The only "issue" I had was due to the blizzard we drove through on the way home...a little water in the bottom of the filter box. Not sure if I should have turned the head around driving through that.

I hate you. On our previous 2 trucks I had a snorkel. My wife hated it. When she drove the truck guys would always ask her at lights or parking lots about it. So, with the 100 that's the one items she's put her foot down on - absolutely no snorkel.

LOL...you are right but thought we were talking about SLEE stores not competitors.

For that matter we have ACC, Budbuilt, and IPOR in our neck of the woods. :D :D

From what I've heard.....ACC is really good at working on cruisers, they dont build the kind of stuff Slee has, but they can still do alot and do it very well.

X2 with my wife. She hates the look and is not real flexible about it.

^ wish that were true, but she likes the ride too much. LOL!
