but I'd like to point out the lack of am/fm reception with my oem antenna gone, takes a toll when you cant listen to the traffic report on your way from work and the traffic is horrible:whoops:

Most likely mod the snorkel and keep the antenna

as for the snorkel thread...

When you do a snorkel, what do you waterproof next? Fusebox, battery, what else is under there that you might be able to waterproof, or don't worry about it?


Not that I do those types of water crossings, but it's nice to know for the future.

I just ordered the Shotts fixed antenna mod. I'll take some photos and post up this weekend.

Shotts has the old style snorkel, you are forced to do away with the auto antenna. With the new and improved design you can keep your auto antenna and do a slight mod to the snorkel.

Looking at the above pictures it doesn't seem like new style snorkel follows the door/ pillar line like the old style one??
