How about a picture of the iPhone with Mud on the screen?

I have already returned mine. I had poor Cingular reception in the past and hoped that time and a new phone would help--it didn't.

In areas of good reception it was very interesting and I thought easy to use. The net surfing with Wifi was pretty quick and not very hard. In areas with no WiFi, it was OK with EDGE. The speaker with some people talking had too low of a volume to hear well. I was not thrilled with the ringtones.

Having said that, this is a remarkable device and I would certainly have kept it if it had better reception. There are many very good qualities about the phone and its ease of use. I think it will be the standard for all future phones to equal or surpass.

Mud on iPhone

There you go. With the finger zoom feature, zooming in and out is easy. It works good. Always in touch.

Sorry for the out of focus. It really is crystal clear. The iPhone is even works in full sun. I was pleasantly suprised. The obviously got the filters right.

I tested one when I went in to replace my Cingular 8125 the week after they came out.

I just couldn't get around Apple putting Edge tech into this brand new phone.
I'm a big Apple geek but the iphone was a big letdown. Beautiful interface but slow on the web.
I went home with a Samsung Blackjack for $99 with rebate.

3g rocks for surfing.:)

BTW you do realize that no matter which iphone you buy they both are limited in the amount of music they will hold. What's the point of the bigger one?

Last week, I stopped by the Apple Store @ Tysons Corner Mall here in NoVA. I went over to one of the working iPhone displays and brought up iH8mud 80-Series Forum to check on some posts I'd been following that day.

It came up in a snap. I especially liked the gyro-based screen switch to landscape mode when I drilled down into one of the threads. Zooming in and out (text-screen real estate-wise) by pinching your fingers is smooth. Great rendering of the fonts! I couldn't find a bad scalable font size. I'm a very old school True Type & earlier fontography-trained veteran of "electronic publishing" (i've seen & used it all since my first gear in '84). I really can't tell ya all how cool it is to see how far its matured.

I wish I still had photos of that first laptop-mount solution I had for the Macintosh Portable in my '82 Jetta.

BTW, I left the 'Mud forums up on the screen for the next person to walk by. I usually do that on their 24" iMac and 30" Displays.
