New-ish owner of a '21. Map is out of date. I was expecting $200 based on a few posts here when I called around. $1200 for the chip, from several dealers. The parts guys were all shocked, bothered and apologized but couldn't do anything.
I don't just want to wire in a CarPlay gizmo, I want a working, independent navigation system with an updated map. Is there another way to update the map? Are there good options for a new, quality head unit?
