Your gona do a axel/steering conversion in a weekend???? I wish you luck cause your gona need it friend! Keep us posted I wana see the finished product.

The 80 axle deal fell through and there was nothing else local to pick up. I ordered some 60 series housings and am now going that route. I know, not nearly as exciting as the 80 swap.
I did pick up these awesome things:

and am recentering them and adding rock rings. For those that haven't done this, know it's a bitch.
Housings should be in Wednesday and my swap kit should be here from RockTactics as well so I should be able to get the cut and turn done along with the spring over mounted. Everything else is going to be done as parts come in, so my ambition has been slowed tremendously.

So the axle housings and one of two needed axle swap kits came today.
I did the H4 headlight swap in, but not done. I've lost power between the switch and the relay harness so I need to chase that down tomorrow.
I've also gotta put the running boards back on the Mrs 100 series, and once that's done the 40 goes in to the garage until the axle swap/ cage/ armor is complete.

Everything removed from the back end today and I cleaned up the 60 axle in preparation for the spring over.
I hope to have the rear mounted tomorrow.
I also picked up a slew of parts from Boots4 yesterday for both front and rear axles and now I'm waiting on some recharging of the money bucket before I get more done.

Rear axle installed. Netted a 6" stretch in wheelbase in the rear using 56" Dakota springs and RockTactics axle swap kit.
Springs sit nice and flat under weight with about 300# extra sitting in the back of the 40 and top on.

The thirds are 4.11's and I'll definitely be running an anti wrap. Going to install the anti wrap and a rear truss in the next week or so.
I'm running a SBC from a K5 blazer.

Nice rig... Subscribed...
