Hello to all of you. I'm Todd Price and I live down in Chandler. I just bought a 78 FJ40 with a 350 in it. It was up in Colorado for all of it life until yesterday when it came down to it's new home. And the fun begins. I would like to hear from anyone that has/is driving a cruiser with a 350 in it. I also need anyones help. I went down to get the emissions done so I can plate the new toy and with all fo my luck the toy didn't pass the test, BIG time. No catalytic converter, no air system, and no evap system. So I need the help of anyone who has gotten there cruiser to pass emissions. Where can I find out all of the parts that are needed for the evap system? I can take care of the cats but need the extra help with the evap.

Thanks for any help
Todd Price

This is my new ride.

Hola!
I just sent out our Copper State Cruisers club application today. My name is Daryl, my friends call me Big D or El Cantinero. My Girlfriend and I are both native Arizonans and reside in Glendale. We recently (about 4 months ago) acquired an 88 fj62 very much in need of TLC for a song and a dance. Her previous owner(s) didn't take to good of care of her. We know her as 'Maggie' affectionately. Jami and I live together and have been together for about 3 years now. Two of which we have shared living together in Glendale. I am a Scene Shop Manager for Shadow Mountain Productions, Inc. in north Phoenix, and build and fabricate sets and stages that ship all over the world. (both Sony & Sony PS & PSP are one of our biggest clients) Jami is a systems administrator analyst for e-funds in Tempe. We spend quite a bit of time south of the border in Rocky Point, where her family has a vacation home in Cholla Bay. We enjoy good music (RCPM is one of our favorites), fun friends, cold beer and good tequila. Well, I am more of the tequila fan then her. I have owned 4x4's in the past (mostly Chevys, K5's and S-10's) and we both love to camp and travel. We needed a stout/strong/no BS about it/go anywhere type of vehicle for Mexico so we got the Land Cruiser. She has 211,000 miles on her and I am giving her the TLC she needed. We got her for a steal, and have put about $600 into her on the interior and mechanically, and at this point she runs good aside from the leak in her A/T. We both look forward to meeting all of you at the next meeting, and even more so to a trail run or camping trip.

Here are a couple of pics of us: one at a family gathering & one of La Máquina Segador de Almas. You can call her 'Maggie' for short.

Salud mi amigos!

Thank you MaddBaggins. How are things in the Old Pueblo these days? I really want to get down there in the next few months or so and do some wheeling in that area. I have never been out in that part of the state, and I hear you have some nice trails.

D

Welcome, good looking rigs! Helps balance things, Bman has been crying about all of the "old guys" with 80s! :crybaby:

Tucson wheelin? Chiva, Chiva, Chiva, oh it's too darn HOT, have to put that off for a couple of months, carry on. :D

I am going to set up a run in the next month or so. C-gap or Chiva, or even a run up Agua Caliente hill. Hell, there's tons of trails here I don't even know of yet. I'm thinking Chiva after the monsoon gets rolling good.

New Intro

Hey all,

I've been lurking around on mud for a few months now, and found the info on the Copper State Cruisers. My name is Rob, and I'm in Gilbert. Sold my '83 FJ60 this spring that I'd had for ~7 years, and bought a '95 FZJ80 a few weeks ago from a mud member in VA (Brian Koerner). Haven't had the truck out wheeling yet, but will probably be taking it out camping with the scouts this weekend. Looking forward to the next meet at Sonic in Aug (date?). Truck has OME lift, 305/70 MTR's, ARB with 9K winch, UpNOver rear bumper with exhaust routed through the bumper, Optima batt, factory lockers, cloth seats (manual) and a tan paint job.
There are some familiar names here from back in '98 or '99 when I was in the AzLCA. I look forward to meeting you all.

Well Just keeping my posts short right now because the A/C on my house broke this week & it's just a tad bit warm in here...Just 2 more nights of sleeping in this awful heat, I'll be getting a new 13.5seer trane unit put on monday morning!! Once the temps here in the house return to normal levels my post sizes will increase..

this is the worst time of year for A/C probs, i've been there myself.

Just moved to Tucson from Japan

Just moved here from Japan (set it straight not military, but civilian) and am thanking god the 100+ days are becoming rare. I have a 1995 TLC FZJ80 E-Lockers with a few accessories that I installed recently. I fell in love with TLC in Japan and bought this one off eBay. I mainly use my ride to scout out new places to launch my downhill bike from and take my beagle for walks. Would love to meet up with some people in the area to go trailing with some time. Just had my first baby but the wifey is kewl with Friday, Saturday’s, and Sundays as long as I'm back by reasonable hours. I've been to a few places lately because of a book I bought but it’s not the same trailing alone. So in the end, liking Arizona so far but you can have all the rattle snakes. Met one already and didn't get along.....thanks for having me...
