View attachment 688368We have been in the process of designing/ proofing and field testing a new interior spare tire mount concept.

Mounts directly to the existing 3rd row seat holes in the floor. Adjustable to fit a variety of tire sizes, all the way up to 37" + tires.

Pre drilled holes for mounting accessories like fire extinguishers and air tanks. DS bracket coming soon.

I've been driving around with the bracket and spare now for a week, took it wheeling last weekend. Great results, solidly mounted, no wobble/ vibration. Easy to get the tire in and out. Doesn't obstruct visibility on the PS side either.

Tire is secured at the hub via nuts/ bolts and by a ratchet strap around the tire.:bounce:

Drivers side (DS) and Passenger Side (PS) will be available. :bounce:

315 or "35 inch" tire is shown :bounce:

Is it just held on by the ratchet strap? Or is it mounted to te side as well. Seems like having some sort of mount to the side would be more secure? Look good though, better than having the tire underneath.

The tire is secured by both the hub and the outer ratchet strap. We did this for safety and security of the tire. Given the many varying diameters of tires, the hub/ ratchet combination makes the tire very secure.

that's pretty cool. I notice alot of the desert/ baja trucks use a strap.

Yeah, the strap was baja inspired. It works really well considering the varying diameter of tires; sizes, manufacturers, PSI, tread wear, flat tires, etc.

I'm looking forward to running dual spares (DS and PS), pre-runner style, removing the 2nd row seats, rear hatch and tailgate on our shop 80!! :smokin:

does it hold a 37 with the back seat in place? u make for drivers side too?

Ok, here are more photos! Field testing complete!!!

Available in both Driver Side (DS) and Passenger Side (PS) :bounce2:

Installed utilizing (5) factory 3rd Row seat bolt holes, no drilling required. Bolt in ready! :bounce2:

Fits Stock tire all the way up to a 37" Tire, looks like it will fit a 38" actually but, haven't had a chance to mount one yet.:bounce2:

Tire is secured by two methods for redundancy; 4 TOYOTA lug nuts and studs at the hub AND a 2" strap around the entire tire. Securing the tire this way covers both side to side and front to back movement.:bounce2:

Made from 3/16" and 1/2" laser cut steel, powder coated black. :bounce2:

I do not have a price yet but, will soon. We plan on stocking only a few at a time. So, if you want one, you need to let us know. Please specify, DS or PS

Pictures are of a 315 or 35" tire.
