Savirc, How did you get the video wire under the head liner?

Savirc, that is a great build thread.
Thanks for sharing.

Is this the photo? Copied from you build thread:

Yep that's it, there is a better pic of it later in the thread, someone said my first pic was not good enough, and for some other part of the build I had to re-open that kick panel and took a better pic.

Fished it thru the headliner trim, takes a bit of patience and you will have to un-clip them some but not remove.

Savirc, thanks again for pointing out a better picture.
I found it. BTW, I am relative new with wiring - what it that
connector you are using in this picture?
Is it two connectors?
I think I'll purchase some for when I start wiring my backup camera. Here is
your photo:

Its a single tap in male connector combined with a regular female connector, you should be able to find it at an auto store.

Ok, I installed Backup Camera on my 2002 LX470.
Plan was to try it out using the wireless transmitter/receiver
and if not satisfactory then run a camera wire from tailgate to
front.

Well, the wireless works so great that I'm not going to bother
running a video cable from front to rear. And, the wireless
transmitter/receiver was only $12.00.

I started at the rear and popped off the cover on the lower part
of the Hatch using a plastic interior trim removal tool I got
from Harbor Freight. The little attachment connectors came
loose much easier than I thought.

I drilled a hole behind the License Plate and fed
the camera wires to the inside and routed them
to the passenger side backup lamp. The backup
lamp is behind a metal panel held with three
10mm screws. I used those blue Splice Blocks
to made electrical connection to the backup lamp.
I used a heavier gauge wire on the Splice Block
and then soldered the fine power wires for the
Camera and Transmitter to the other end. The
reason is that the Splice block might not have made
a decent connection with you press it with pliers.

Here is the splice I made at the Tail Gate - it gets +12V when I
shift into reverse and I connected it to the red leads of both
the Camera and the Transmitter:

Thanks to the folks here, I was told which wire is the backup power
behind the driver side foot wall panel.

The driver side foot wall panel was very easy to remove too.
Just pull off the Foot Rest, and then pull off a black plastic
hold down plug. After this you can easily pull off the side wall panel.

Here is my splice that provides +12V when I shift into Reverse.
The wire is Red with a Black stripe and silver marks. The White splice
block in the photo is one I put in for my Trailer Brake Controller.
The photo just shows my Test Probe Light on the Backup wire
before I attached a Splice Block.

The bundle of wires for the Monitor and the wireless Receiver
I just zip tied and shoved under the Dash. No room under the Dash
to make it totally invisible.

The cable to the Monitor I made pretty much invisible
by just pushing it under the console side piece.

The Mount for the Monitor was Metal with a sticky.
One that you peel off the paper and press fit.
Well it was too big for the surface where I wanted to
mount the monitor so I cut it to fit - i.e. I cut off
the feet on the back side of the camera making it
round. You can see the feet on the display side
that I left on.

So here is how I mounted the 7" display monitor.
It does not interfere with the controls or Transmission Lever.

My reasoning for mounting the display there was
that its not visible for a thief breaking in thinking its
some valuable gizmo, and also that it does not
block my driving vision. If there is a better mounting
spot on an LX470 I am open for suggestions.

And the rear Camera.
This License Plate camera is high quality metal
frame. It comes with a tiny allen wrench that you
can use to adjust the angle of the camera to
whatever suits you.

My LX470 is black and I like the way it looks.
I'm going to see if I can find some black screws or
paint the ones I have black.

I did purchase a Rear View Mirror with a built in 4.3" camera
that press fits over the factory Mirror. It was a very high
quality item but after I tested it on my workbench I decided
that I liked the larger and brighter display of the 7" monitor.
In addition, the mirror with do away with the night vision
in the factory mirror.

As stated Power for the Monitor - I ran a piece of red wire from the
left side panel, under dash to passenger side of the console.
I fished a stiff stick in there first and then taped the wire to the
end and pulled it through. I did both the power and the ground
for the Monitor. The Ground point I found was behind the left side
panel - there is screw that secures the Dash to the metal body.

Its been a long time since I did this, but I recall using something called a "navtool" that basically adds an auxiliary video input source for the factory nav screen. You hook it up in-line with the stock navigation computer and trigger it using the reverse wire, so the nav feed is interrupted when you shift in to reverse. Works just like OEM and no additional screen needed.

Edit: I believe this is very similar to what I used:

1998 - 2002 Lexus LX470 Navigation Video Interface Add TV DVD iPod Backup Camera | eBay

Edit again: Also used a camera like this that replaces one of the rear license plate lights:

Backup Reverse Parking Rearview Camera for Toyota Land Cruiser LC 100 120 200 | eBay

How well does the camera that replaces the rear license plate light work? Seems like a good discreet option that doesn't require drilling.
