Do you still have this? And, do you have the transmission & transfer case? If so, tell me about the tranny. I just got a 1971 FJ40 that I'm trying to source parts for on a tight budget. ThanksI have a 1979 2F engine for sale for $500. The motor can be turned by hand. I got it from "County Cruisers" in Ridgeville, IN as part of a trade for a parts rig I had. He said the history was it came from a lower milage plow truck.

Yes I still have this. I also have the 4spd trans, transfercase and bellhousing/flywheel/clutch. I have them listed separately but would make a package deal on them all.Do you still have this? Hey, haven't heard back from you (or if I did, I missed it somehow). I'm a serious buyer, not just tire kicking. Looking down into the oil filler opening the inside doesn't look nearly as bad as the outside. Was the engine / clutch assembly / 4 speed transmission and transfer case all running good when pulled? Or, was it pulled because something was sick? What would your price on the entire assembly be? Looks really rough, but if it was used to salt and plow roads that not surprising. I could put my boys on it scrubbing and cleaning with wire brushes AND burn some energy off their 14 & 10 year old selfs! LOL! Let me know.I have a 1979 2F engine for sale for $500. Also, I posted something in the "Trade" section of the classifieds that someone might be interested in too.
Thank you.Just sent another PM and email.
Did you say $2,500 for everything....???Bump. Happy to assist with shipping.
Also, tell me (and maybe even send me pics) of the dash pads, bumper, 4 speed drive shafts and other items you mentioned.Did you say $2,500 for everything....???
I was seriously looking at a fully rebuilt and documented 2F + rebuilt 4 speed transmission + rebuilt transfer case (of course I've got a transfer case) but the seller has been on vacation for a couple of weeks and I'm ready to make a move and get things happening. Tell me more about the Overdrive unit, and/or send me the full manual so I can see if I could just bolt it up and go like the old Fairey Overdrive units, or if the Overdrive Unit you have would require modifying the drive shafts lengths.
Thank you,
Don
