Does the 300 come standard with the black or white bumper? If think the black bumper would be more standard

Americans now have the choice between the new LX or new Sequoia. I think the Sequoia is the better choice for majority of American consumers instead of the 300-series LC (bigger and roomier inside).

They switched back to solid rear axle + available rear locker.

But didn’t they ditch the full time 4wd system for a 4x4 setup? So essentially you’re stuck with 2wd on road now?

"Sequoia will be offered in 2WD or the available part-time 4WD system on SR5, Limited, Platinum and Capstone grades. TRD Pro will be offered only in 4WD. The part-time 4WD system relies on a transfer case, controlled via a lever on the center console, to select between 2WD, 4WD high or 4WD low."

So if you want fulltime 4wd, the TRD pro is the only option.

I thought that at first I saw it, but believe that it will still be part time 4WD and not offer a 2WD option for the TRD Pro. I hope I’m wrong. Love full time AWD on my 100 series.

I understood the article wrong. All grades can be had with either 2WD only or parttime 4WD. Meanwhile the TRD Pro is only offered in 4WD (which is parttime 4WD).

Always thought it was a missed opportunity for Toyota to offer a full time 4wd 4Runner but you can't get it with rear diff like like the TRD versions which are only 2wd/4wd. GS-R is the only game in town if you want it all and Toyota didn't invite us to the game.

If it’s part time 4WD without a transfer case differential (circa 1980s) that blows big time on winter pavement.
If I lived in an area that got snow, I’d MUCH rather drive an 80 or 100 or 200 (or 300) or LX than a part time 4WD vehicle.

Yeah, I’ve fallen in love with the full time tcase in our 80 & 100. We spend a lot of time driving in the vermont snow and through southern torrential downpours; the cruisers handle it all with finesse.

Best safety feature of ‘90+ cruisers imho

Absolutely! American families are getting fatter and need more room to accommodate. 🤣 Unfortunately, it’s a sad fact and most of these big suvs are found in the fast food lane grabbing “dinner”. I travelled down the Mediterranean from Spain to Southern Italy with my family and our rental X5 was considered big. But it fit all our luggage. 🤷🏻Ô

I don’t know if anyone was aware of this, but the primary reason larger Toyota vehicles have a 3rd row crammed in the back with absolutely uncomfortable seating isn’t primarily for carrying extra passengers.
The real reason that horrible 3rd row exists is to bend the rules of fuel economy ratings.

According to the laws, the more passengers a vehicle can carry, the lower MPG rating it can have. Most bigger SUVs with a 3rd row wouldn’t pass MPG requirements (and be illegal to sell) if they didn’t have a 3rd row in the back.

Amen to that. I’m actually embarrassed to be North American at times. Some of the modded 300s coming out of Oz are getting my pulse elevated.
