If anyone wants a mint 2019 LC 200 with 31k miles on it, they have one at Manchester Lexus in New Hampshire. I traded it last night for an LX (the only way to get a 300). I still have another 200, so I get to stay in this group, but I really want White Car to go to somebody who will love her and appreciate her. She was a Hangar Queen. I took care of her as if I was going to keep her forever. Undercoated every year, all scheduled maintenance at the dealership, etc. I don't want her to be bought by somebody looking for a car. I want her to go to a Land Cruiser home.

Interested to hear your thoughts about the LX versus the 200 in all areas.
Driving dynamics, build quality, interior fit and finish and what you think of the tradeoffs.
No tailgate, no V8 etc.

People looking to buy one will probably look in classifieds section not here, but not sure if posting it there is against the rules.
Enjoy your new ride and let us know how you like it.

I didn't think it was against the rules because I am not selling anything. If it is against the rules, we can move it. I have never been in trouble in eleven years here. I didn't want to start now.

I will have to take some time to answer this. I have eleven years of experience in the 200 and only about 250 miles in the LX. I miss the tailgate already. I do not miss the v8 at all. When I drove the 250, I missed the V8 immediately. The LX700 is a whole different animal. This thing is a rocket ship. I passed someone on the highway, and when I looked down at the speedo, I was going way way too fast. I will come back and answer more of your questions when I have more time in the seat.

AND in five or ten years I will get to use the fact that she is triple locked!

Not saying it is wrong here.

I'm not saying it is wrong here. Just saying that it would get more visibility there for people that are actually looking to buy. Most people here already have one.

Ok. I will copy it to there.

It must be that electrical motor they have in there boosting the performance of the V6, or better said fixing the boost of the turbos.
I didn't want a hybrid. I love the fact that my 200s will be taxis in Africa in 70 years. What got me comfortable is they made the LX such that if the whole hybrid system dies, the car still works. That felt LC. Whatever they did, I ended up at a speed that I don't think I have ever seen in the 200, just from passing on the highway. Whatever complaints I may eventually have, get up and go will not be one of them.

Or...could just be that an antiquated V8 isn't always the answer ;) Granted, with proper care, both the 4.7 and 5.7 will last a long, lonnnnnnnnnng time, but for performance? They both, frankly, aren't great. I had the twin turbo 3.5L EcoBoost V6 in my '16 Expedition EL and that beast was an actual joy to drive. Granted...different beast insofar as being independent suspension, lower towing, etc. But I had over 280k on the odo of the Ford when I sold it for our Power Wagon with nothing but oil changes and proper maintenance.

My '16 200? Not exactly "exciting" and ponderous in comparison. If I couldn't buy two 200s for the cost of the GX550...I'd take the "unfixed?" (given there's no electric motor) boost of a twin turbo V6 all day...every day. I'm assuming you're saying the electric motor "fixes" things by eliminating turbo lag? Which hasn't been a thing in modern turbo-charged vehicles for a long, long time.

Hope you had a better experience there than I did. Never bought from them, but their service department is terrible. That dealership is the reason I won't buy another Lexus again (I've had 4 of them), simply because they are the only one in this area.

I have no experience with their service department, but I very much enjoyed their sales department. It's a strong statement to say I enjoyed buying the car. The negotiations felt very fair and the saleswoman was delightful. What happened bad in the service department?

That is good to hear.

We had a 2013 IS250C that I took there twice for service, I can't remember what it needed honestly (this was 2018). The car was CPO so they covered it, but then they "found" a bunch of other things that they thought it needed. They told me the rear diff fluid was dirty and needed to be changed, except that I had just changed it a few months before. They tried to tell me the front wheels were bent, and new ones were $900 each. I used a dial indicator, could see barely any wobble or sideways movement at the edge of the rim, they were within spec. Car drove fine.

I sold the car private sale about a few months later, but they kept hounding me to trade it in, despite me telling them several times I no longer had it.

Have you driven a new tundra? I thought that was iforce max was the same as the LX700H?
I did about 800 miles in the 3rd-gen and, surprisingly, I was disappointed in the 3rd-gen engine compared to my 200.

My experience is the opposite. I have the iforcemax. Diesel like torque at lower power bands, and it accelerates so much faster. 10 speed matched to it is smooth. Hopefully Toyota has truly fixed what was causing these engines to fail. I would not buy one with this engine again until it becomes clear they have everything sorted out. A 32 gallon gas tank helps on road trips.

My 200 is still my favorite vehicle and I hope to have it a long time.

I mean, it is clearly faster than a 200, but butt dyno doesn't feel like it. Idk how else to describe it.

here is what people really want to know, they have it listed at $72,584. What did they give you on trade
