There is one around here. Like you said in person it is insane and almost comical. 6” more ground clearance then a f150 raptor on 35’s and over 7’ high without a roof rack.
Personally if we are going there I’d take a unimog u500 Brabus over a g^2.

I see those a lot around here. But this is a continuation of insanity. Over modifying a reasonably reliable platform for no reason. Id go simple, reliable, and durable. The base G500 would be my choice even if out of date interior by today’s standards. I had a G65 for a year and it was ridiculous. Sold it back to the dealer for more than I paid for it, even before the current challenges.

Haha, I rented a diesel Kia Rio in Iceland and also beat it up offroad quite a bit.

Nah. We sold a QX80 when we bought the 200. The LC is superior in almost every way. I would take that Nissan 5.6, though. It's more powerful, especially passing in the mountains.So you just described the LC! Ha!
This is so tough Bc the 200 is the luxurious, reliable, do all vehicle. I can’t think of a vehicle that is both luxurious and reliable, but a replacement could be a Porsche Cayenne. Preferably the turbo model for the added performance 
I’ve owned Audis for the last decade so it’s been hard to only have the 200 for my DD.
I’m sure I’ll get the itch again and end up buying a giant S8 or R8 to fill that void sooner than later.
For now this fits the bill and gets everything done I need it to.
If I needed a suv/truck I’d likely get the G-wagon as it’s both obnoxious and capable.
Definitely a GX460, that thing is built like a tank. My wife just got a 2022 GX460, the build quality being made in japan is evident. I'm comparing it to her RX350 and its night and day difference in build quality, only thing we miss is the MPG's but its not that bad.

But honestly there isn't a vehicle made that can tow, be luxury, road trip well, hold a family and our gear, and off-road.
So I imagine that if I were to get rid of the 200 I would get an 80 series again and a truck (probably am F-150 or 250) or a luxury SUV (Lincoln, Volvo, Porsche, ext)
The car I want the most though is an RS6 wagon, Id also love to have a number of classic sports cars or any Porsche. Really though, I think the future for me will be an EV for daily and an old dedicated off-roader and an older truck for towing and long distance road trips. LC/LX really does the job of multiple vehicles

Aside from either Rivian offering as a do-all replacement, I would probably have both a Rav4 Prime and built up/regeared Tacoma to cover all my bases should an LC no longer be an option.
I am in the process of building out our 2021 RAM 3500 CTD for use as a tow rig and all other truck type duties so that base is covered. I have no plans to purchase another full-size truck going forward, this is the "one" short of any major issues/theft/getting totaled.
The 200 will end up being built out as a weekend adventure vehicle for trips to the beach, the ranch, Big Bend, Colorado, etc. I'll likely use it as my daily for a few years once the misses gets a new vehicle next year. Long term plan is to have it setup and ready to roll for fun adventure weekends at all times.
Our next vehicle purchase will likely be a cross between luxury and a decent daily and travel rig. I have no clue what that might look like as my wife is very set in her ways/preferences. She really likes the look of the new Sequoia in the TRD Pro trim but she's also open to the idea of the LX600 or possibly even the new GX depending on how it looks when unveiled later this year. We will likely have an EV at some point in the future but I don't see that happening in the next five years for us.

Saw this sleeper commuting this morning. Not a Cruiser with the same level of capability and durability, but I've tossed around the idea of playing with one if I needed a temporary replacement. They can be found pretty cheap in the used market.
I don't know the proportions enough to tell how big of a tire this is, but they do look pretty substantial. Would like to find out.

Wife drives the 200 daily. The S6 is mine. Best of both worlds. She likes the looks of the RS6, too. We had an A6 wagon rental in Germany pre-COVID and she loved it.

Pretty sure there is a range of years where both the Taureg and Cayenne came stock with a selectable rear locker. I'd imagine with the right suspension and tire setup, they would be surprisingly capable.
Def hold out until a new GX drops, i have extremely high hopes for it. A lighter more powerful updated GX is going to be awesome. Probably wont lean so far into luxury like the LX did.
