in my search for the elusive 55, this came up on Ebay last night.

It doesn't seem to bad rust wise, the roof rack has gotta go, along with that bullbar.

Its on Gas, which is a bonus, with petrol prices skyrocketing.

Unfortunealty its a fair way from home, but they are starting to get rare, exp earlier models.

note the home made GPS on the steering wheel!!!!!

Dood, that is hilarious!

Hey that dash looks to be in good condition!

Yeah if you want a jungle-gym for the kids to swing on :flipoff2:

Hey, whatever keeps the deer out of my grill. :D

Some trucks should just be clearcoated for posterity. I dig the outback no-frills style of the Aussie trucks that have been worked hard and put away wet.

Gonna go for it fjdave?

Im gunna at leat try. I asked old mate for some more photos, and to detail the rust, having that roof rack on worries me a bit.
Plus I have to put it past the minister for war and finance - thats no easy hurdle, some women just dont appreciate the finer things in life!!
"You have three projects already on the go, A baby on the way, A new kitchen to build and you want this bucket of rust!!"

Ill post the other pics up when I get them

Dave

Anyone want a solid steel bullbar?

You are in great company.

I bet if you add up all the money you spend dinning out in one month, it will add up to more than the price of this 55.

Or at least that is my experience.

it may cost more to filler up then to buy it
wow

more photos

Got some more photos today. Roof is a typical rust party. I dont know why, but every aussie 55 I have seen has its share of roof rust..
The Rest of it seems pretty good, only damage is on the drivers C pillar

Having Had a 76 FJ55 before, what things are big differences on a 73? Obviously the semi floating rear is one of them. I assume a 73 would have the F engine? Would it be a 3 speed or a 4 speed trans? anything else?

Love the fact its on Gas (LPG) and petrol. The Aust government is doing a rebate scheme for ppl that buy LPG powered cars (new or used), or getting your existing car transfered to it. So im hoping that I may get a percentage of the purchase price rebated to me. That'll be one cheap 55!!!!!

Cheers
Dave

Well for the Grand sum of $202.50, I am now officially a Pig Owner again.....

It will probably cost me more in fuel to get the pig than it cost me!!

Im one happy camper :)
