We were aftermarket Vendors of course!:lol::lol:

And we should probably do a follow-up thread called, "How to keep your land cruiser from getting stolen".....

im not one to use LOL unless i really did Laugh Out Loud
and i really did

that brightened my day!

If you want to drive your cruiser, take the twoscrews out of the bottom of the plastic cover in front of your steering wheel. Remove the covers and you will see a plug opposite of the key held on by a phillips screw. Remove the screw and the plug will come out. Turn the spade on the plug and your cruiser will start and run.

Bingo!!!
If you go this rout make sure you bring the phillips that you started it with to turn off the vehical too :o.

Just a heads up, I resently lost my only key and I was starting to get desperate. I was concedering hot wire etc. then I figured out how to pull the "plug" off the back of the key switch and started it. Long story, my GF ended up finding the key in a book that I had put it in then shut and forgot about. It might be a long shot but sometimes those sort of things will trigger a memory. Lucky for me it was before I got new key and locks. Good luck finding your key.

I keep a copy of the keys for both of my vehicles in my wallet. It has saved my bacon a number of times.
