Safety Tip: those 'steps' will get slick when wet/muddy--3M scotch strip makes a sand paper like 'tape' you can cut and put on the top edge of those steps--black, blends in and keeps your foot from slipping or someone in your family--

Just as a suggestion, have you considered putting a high density rubber bumpstop at the top of the Ladder Rack where it comes close to the hatch/roof line? What I've experienced with my rear bumper, is when I'm coming off a rock shelf and the bumper catches the entire weight of the truck it'll flex into the body. Once unloaded it'll return back to it's origin location. I've also seen a bit of "road vibration flex" as I go down rutted/bumpy roads. This flex may also cause some contact.

I dont wheel this thing but that does not mean.. I'll be willing to try it and find my self on a spot like the picture you posted... I do have some daystar rubber bumpers that LCWIZARD send my way.. I'll def put one at the top of the ladder.. Thanks for the input eh !!! This site rocks....

That's a replacement frame... Ellsworth are over rated... I score that frame for $500 off of e-bay.... I need a 160mm fork.. this one is almost 9 years old and giving me a hard time... One of my first bike's was a YETI... I might go back to one.......

Nice solution to the ladder. Maybe you can find some rubber tips for the ends so you don't back in to
one of the rungs.

Im thinking some cheap heater hose on them steps should do the trick....

I found some fuel and heater hose and that did the trick...
the grip is better and if anyone or even the tail gate hit one of the rungs it wont cause any dents or damage to it...

You need a rear camera for that truck. Big ass blind spot. May run over that little old ladies car to your right and not even know it

BTW, smart move to put it on the rear, and not on top. the drag on the truck would have lowered your fuel economy.

NZLHJ60 I did not build the bumper..... I just modded both swing-outs..
If by catch design you mean the latch for each swing-out then you need to contact LCWIZARD here on mud. It is his design.
I specially like how this bumpers attaches to the FJ60 frame, but Im also glad it worked on mine....

try to get both tires at the same level but was a bit hard to do that...
