They said my bed was completely submerged and all they could see was the upper part of my cab -would have looked a little funny.

No Problem Mate! Nice talking to you the other day, you were very helpful. I found the 4terrain clutch for 520 aus. 270 to ship it!

I'll have the tranny out in August so I will know what I have for sure then. I just bought a 1HZ with H55 and transfer from Japan - so there will be a 1HZ engine mod addition to this post - gonna make it produce so big power!

so big power... kids.

you stole that one from Dave, you bugger.

LOL!!
can't wait to see the thread, there was a guy in Alberta that had torn down a 1HZ to produce "so big power" had a SC for it as well and lost interest. it will be nice to see what yours turns out like.

If all goes well I will do it over the winter - just depends on my snowmobile projects:) But I am pretty sure I will want to get it done, I like experimenting on cruisers.

I'm going to use HPC coatings on every engine part I can as well as use new pistons and all kinds of other parts, just need to find out what to use - I know nothing about building engines.

I'll also need a 1HDT injection pump if anyone knows where I can get one.

Does the guy still have the torn down engine and the supercharger?

Did you end up getting your 100 series rims to fit?

Yes I did! I had to use 2 inch spacers though:) They work well now.

One day I'll get proper rims - bit I am set for the time being.

Are the spacers because there off the 100 series and the 100 series has IFS aka flat no dish rims? the should look neat
Do you have pics mate with the 100 rims on it what size tyres did you put on them

I spose its looks something like these bad boys these rims are of the sahara/vx im pretty sure
I have found a fair few pics of 79's with all different style rims if ever you need ideas mate

Yes they look similar to that, I have to find a pic somewhere. I run 285/75/16's BFG A/T's on them. I like them but wish I didnt need the spacers of course.

What's going on these days with the truck of everyone's dreams? Neck deep in some sort of winter mad science experiment?

Naw, all is good here, will be pulling the engine this winter and putting in another with some high performance coatings on various engine parts, new injection pump and a bunch of other stuff. Also have to put in a new tranny and transfer as mine are worn out.

That's it!

Is there anything else I should do?? I'm always looking for new ideas but at this point the truck is pretty tricked out and very capable off road. Let me know!

Well ya duh, but I have run out of things to do, might do meth injection, won't do propane cause I don't want to carry a propane tank. I do have a secondary fuel tank to install at some point., maybe a bilge pump for the cabin, will powdercoat my bumper and sliders. Probably go to a 34-35 inch tire instead of these superswampers, maybe a rear winch. Buying longfields for it too. I guess I can come up with some things.

Wayne I have a set of chains for my 33's - we might go out this xmas but there may be too much snow by then and the sledders might get pissed - so the season is nearly a wrap here - atleast I got my front locker fixed.

you need chains to winter wheel?
i am trying to remember the last time i actually installed a set on my truck. i run ice radials for the winter wheeling trips OR the tractor tires. both perform excellent with no need for chains. of course the tractor tires work better on all but the ice patches.

i carry chains just in case but more for traction weight than to install.

I use chains, I must not have progressed to your level of Zen for winter wheeling. Come out with us in the winter around here, but don't come unless you bring chains - or you won't be able to follow, ag tires are for mud and although they go in snow are nothing like chains in the winter.

Just because someone does something differently than you doesn't mean that it doesn't work, in fact it might work better than your idea - jesus man.

Hmm, do skidders use chains in the winter? How about logging trucks? What a bunch of fxxxing retards eh! LOL.

wow, touchy this morning eh?
i do beleive it is your turn to do the drive.

if you read the last post again you will see i was stating something different, everyone runs chains. i am the one that is playing the game differently. ag tires work extremely well in snow. i proved it to the boys out west, i proved it to the boys in Ontario BUT just because it works for me doesn't mean it will work for everyone.

since i have caused you stress and frustration i will do both of us a favor and unsubscribe from this thread.

Oh no! Wayne unsubscribed from my thread! I was always taught that if you don't have anything good to say then don't say it all - and no one likes a know it all. But you have your own style.

Just getting a little tired of your shots - so it is a good thing you are taking them else where.

6in coils up front, spring over in the rear, 38in Swampers......
I'm just sayin;)
