Hi Guys, went out with Fromage today, plans were to go wheeling, ahemmmm, so anyway we got the the area and someone's "landrover" wouldn't go into 4x4. So the day was cut short with me doing some light wheeling while Fromage messed with his transfer case:).

We made a short vid so you can hear the aeroturbine muffler and 3 inch mandrel bent system on my truck, you can't really hear the turbo in the video but this frigging thing spools up fast and churns out the power. I'm running 36 TSL super swampers on it now.

The ARB high capacity compressor went on today, the resevoir and front ARB locker might go in this weekend if the weather is ok.

Feel free to take cheap shots at Fromage:)

Oh, and saw this freak alien type spider on my tire - have never seen something like this before - nasty looking. Although - I think it was laughing at the rover:)

Cool video. Ive been out with LR owners. Their vehicles always find time to break down LOL.
Where did you mount the compressor and tank?
I have considered mounting mine under a cover on the tray or underneath the tray, between the chassis rails.

Last time I saw that spider was when I was wrapping your parts,I wondered where he went:D

Rosco - LOL, damn, looks like something from another planet - so Aus would be right! Actually the land rover owner got close to look at it and it attached itself to his face - haven't seen him since. The compressor is under the hood, it is the new one from ARB, I can extend the breather hose on it, so it is pretty waterproof. The tank will go under the flat deck, I could have probably put a 10 gallon tank under there but went with a 2.5 gallon.

Floyd, the leafs took about an hour to remove and replace, but i needed to have the U limiters/hangars or whatever they are called installed in a leaf - so that took an hour of driving and install time at a spring shop. All in all it took 2 hours.

hey mate, what model aero turbine muffler did you use for ya exhaust ? they look and sound the real deal.

thanks mate, thats awesome, i definitley wanna get one for my 75 series
it says its for "Gas trucks" ,is that right ? your cruizer isnt gas is it ?

There is no option for a 3 inch diesel muffler - they said it would be perfect. You can see straight through this muffler.

Bastages!

Shown up by Skebo once again:D

To be fair, Land-Rover has a lot of Cruiser parts, locations where they intersect (in this case, the front of the transfer case where it meets the Toyota driveshaft) are generally the most problematic.

Fixed.

We will meet again, good sir.

If you run american through babelfish ,gas comes out as petrol;)

No real difference between diesel and petrol mufflers. Ive been running the 3F muffler on my 73 series for 4 years.

think about it,
the reason for an exhaust system is to move the gasses from the side of the engine to a safe point away from the occupants and to make the noise acceptable to the public.

gas or diesel, the exhaust systems are the same material.

yeah yeah i know ,dont have to be smart alecs about it, thought id double check.

nothing smart-alec about it, some people actually believe there is a difference. i was trying to make it easier to understand..

ARB compressor and on-board-air installed. Front ARB going in next week.

Rear wheel spacers added (1.5") had to trim the bed, no chance to rub now, had a longer flex line made to handle the articulation.

Enough room for flex now, the tires were too close before, and now the rears will actually follow the fronts.

some spacers are what i need aswell, tyre scrubs up against the chassis
have you tried them out yet ?
compressor looks good too.fits perfect

Louis ,what did you use for your tray to sit on. Are they Hockey puks? If its rubber, the tray should allow the frame to flex a fair bit.

I am going wheeling this sunday so I will see how it flex's. Yes Ross the mounts are hockey pucks, the aluminum tray is built to flex - it will be interesting to see how it all works.

Ya, only thing I had on hand at the time. The good thing is that 2 guys can lift this deck off and they can be swapped out easily - I made it that way so I could raise or lower it.

Thanks!
