Restoration and refurbish work started this morning.
The unsimilarity is 79 bed longer by 80 mm over 75 bed. This shortening of bed needs special attention so it'll not destroy the entire bed.

When I look into a 80series roadtax, it is 690+. How come they engine lower roadtax

Trimmed off 80mm of the bed.
Ready to weld it back and authentically is a 75 bed with 2240mm in length now.

The bed brace will need some welds to flatter up the surface.

Bed was placed back on the chassis and ready to weld.
You need steady and delicate hand to weld.

So where o where do you get the over fenders from? They look original.

Front overfender from kinaway and rear imported directly from Japan.
And there are genuine toyota overfender.

Wheel arch was trimmed off to accommodate the overfender.
The bed got welded and grinded.
Super satisfied with the result.

Looking good.
You seem to be missing the rubber pieces that prevent the paint from rubbing through though. Good for stopping potential rust issues

The pad will be later part of the story when the positioning is done.
This is just a try out on the mud guard.
Everything will be in pieces when paint work starts.
