After market gum will shrink after a couple of time unlike the factory gum willstand quite long.
I wonder what material is the factory gum?
All brand new landcruiser from Toyota will have gum on the joint and underneath mudguards but not on the new parts.

My panel shop used a 3m factory match seam sealer on my door and has lasted 9 years so far with no shrinkage at all. With the correct applicator it perfectly matched the genuine seam on the other side. Have a look at this

Chassis took a big hit check the door is back also the beaver panel has blown out chassis will need work. If you want a good chassis look at OZ. Plenty of our late computer cruisers are written off for wet floor carpets believe it or not.
